General Info

Nestled on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, in the quintessential village of Hutton Rudby, between the two market towns of Yarm and Stokesley, you will find 2 Drumraugh Cottages. Renovated to a high standard, this attractive self-catering cottage provides a fabulous base for a romantic escape to North Yorkshire for one or two couples traveling with their four-legged friends. Relax in the sitting room in front of the vintage gas fire as you sink deep into the chic velvet sofa and enjoy a movie on the flat-screen TV, or curl up in the inviting leather sofa and lose yourself in a book. Discover a handy utility/cloakroom and a spacious kitchen/dining room, beautifully decorated with contemporary navy cabinets with a white marble-effect worktop and rose gold features, as well as hosting an abundance of sleek electrical appliances. Gather at the sociable oak dining table and indulge in a delicious dinner with drinks, watching as flames flicker from the traditional woodburning stove. Make the most of warm summer evenings with dinner alfresco out in the back garden, or head to the front garden where you can watch the world go by as you sip on a warm cup of tea. Climb the staircase up to the first floor and be greeted by a tranquil family bathroom styled with colourful wallpaper, perfect for winding down with a soak in the tub at the end of an action-packed day. Retreat to the bright and airy double bedroom with pretty pink hues, or lay your head to rest in the homely king-size which can be transformed into a twin bedroom upon request. Spend your days exploring the breath-taking scenery of the North York Moors National Park with hikes up The Wainstones and a walk along Cleveland Way. Grab your bikes and head to Sutton Bank for an exciting cycle through the countryside, or travel to Yarm to uncover the imposing grounds of Yarm Castle. Spot pretty tropical butterflies at Butterfly World, or embark on a relaxing ride up the Saltburn Cliffs on the Tramway. The city of Middlesbrough is just a short drive away and boasts captivating museums and galleries, as well as a cathedral and all of your favourite high-street stores. No trip to the northeast of England would be complete without a trip to York; be amazed by the grand and Gothic architecture of the 13th century cathedral and Museum Gardens, or be spooked on the eerie tour of The Original Ghost Walk of York, before delighting in a mouth-watering cream tea in one of the many quirky tearooms. The Hot Tub

Well equipped, dog friendly cottage in a great location

We were the first people to stay in this cottage and can highly recommend it. The decoration and facilities are to an extremely high standard, the owners could not be more helpful and there are two dog friendly pubs in the village. Great walking all around of course - we particularly liked going to Roseberry Topping and up into the hills from Osmotherley. An excellent place to get away from it all.
