We had a perfect half term.

I think the lodge would benefit from a handrail on the ramp into the lodge, I felt it was quite dangerous if you weren’t concentrating or for children

Lovely new and spacious lodge with nice touches of welcome pack and soap and nespresso machine. Which I wish I would have known about and brought some of my own

Absolutely brilliant stay at Askham Premier. The lodge was spotless, beautifully decorated and located in a nice quiet area. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and answered any questions we asked thoughtfully, in terms of activities in the local area as well as going the extra mile and decorating out accommodation for my boyfriends birthday when asked. Brilliant holiday, couldn’t have asked for a better stay and highly reccomend.

Amazing lodge, super clean. Beds comfortable and good quality bedding. Hot tub cleaned ever day. Reason not a 10 is due to busy traffic from road lodge backs onto. Due to the unusual hot weather the windows were open so we could hear traffic more than windows closed. Although this would not stop me booking again!

The new lodges are fantastic with private decking and hot tube. The one we were in was only 6 months old and still had a few teething problems (like the kitchen doors were difficult to shut) but they have all the amenities of a modern house and really good showers, comfortable beds and lovely decor.

We stayed for a week with a 5 year old and a 12 year old. The lodge and hot tub were great and the site is very quiet. The hot tub would benefit from a few chairs at the side to allow those not in the tub to relax. We would have liked somewhere to walk nearby, but there was nothing in walking distance. We drove to Penrith for takeaway, and Keswick for a cruise on Derwentwater, Rheged soft play and cinema saved the day when it was raining. The lodge was well equipped but a few extras would have been appreciated, a couple of bin bags and a bigger pan for pasta would have helped. The cookerhood in our lodge was broken and there were a few issues with heating and wi-fi which were quickly resolved by the site. We had a lovely holiday, and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet break within easy reach of the Lakes.

Very new and spotless lodge. Very luxurious, could not fault one little thing. Not cheap when we went but you get what you pay for. Even the jacuzzi was top notch.

Beautiful lodge! Nicely decorated and extremely tidy. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in. When it says self-catering you really need to pack everything. We were expecting robes as it had a hot tub, but there were none. We were however given the kitchen essentials (pots, pans, cooking utensils). Overall, a great lodge which made it really easy to relax and unwind. Would highly recommend.

Lovely lodge only thing we could have done with more kitchen wear ie fish slice, more cooking dishes and trays but that’s no a complaint it’s an observation
