Really spacious lodge, with great facilities e.g hot tub, dishwasher. Was provided with dishwasher tablets, tea towels etc so didn’t need to take our own which was a bonus.

    Great lodge

The lodge was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in, in terms of the interior decor. However, it was right next to a building site, which would have been a bit more of an issue had we stayed there during the week rather than over the weekend.

We’ve stayed in 5 different lodge parks this year and this lodge park is the worst we have ever stayed in. The lodges are on a building site next to the motorway. The areas which have been finished are not being maintained. We noticed a broken glass which had shattered all of the floor outside the restaurant on our first day, 7 days later it had still not been picked up! The gardens to the manor are pad locked do that you can’t walk around them. There are loose slabs from the car park to the lodge. The car park was over 100m from the lodge which made carrying luggage/food from the car to the lodge difficult. The lodge itself was just a couple of years old. Inside you would have thought it was much older. The lodge had not been cleaned properly. We had to clean it when we arrived. The carpet was awful, full of marks and had not been vacuumed. The beds had probably the worst mattresses we have ever tried to sleep on. They were very poor quality. Not to mention a missing tv remote, plaster missing from the wall and external doors which were very difficult to open/close. Would we ever go back to rookery manor? Not if you paid me!
