Could do with a bit of modernisation

Great location lovely views, the hot tub was amazing! Only preference would of been to have more than 1 toilet roll, bins cleaned more often.

We stayed in the beeches lodge. The location of the lodge was fantastic, beautiful views, lovely hot tub and secure veranda for our dog. Checking in was nice and easy with friendly staff. The lodge itself could do with refurbishment but it was clean apart from the glasses in the kitchen cupboard. It was the beds that really let this place down they were all so uncomfortable! Our double bed had wood propping it up in the middle, the single beds had really old mattresses on them. We left a day early because we were all so tired. We wouldn’t return because of the beds which is a shame.

Attention to detail on cleaning was required. Overall lodge was clean, but door ridges and window ridges were not. Fan in bathroom was thick in dirt. Dining table was sticky, but this could have been some coating on the surface as it would not wipe off. Can't fault the rest of the lodge facilities. Hot tub was clean and checked each day.
