Recent stay as a party of 11 with children ranging from 16- 4. The house is lovely, it’s old fashioned but in a good way and in keeping with the style of the property. The property has a lovely hot tub and outside area which was great for relaxing in the evening. Property is spacious which is ideal for larger families and Is equipped with all essential appliances. The WiFi isn’t great but can connect in the lounge and bedroom directly above. The signal on the TV is hit and miss but not a huge issue. One suggestion would be to add a better lock to the front door or be able to lock the porch door, there were no security issues but this would help to feel more secure especially when not use to the rural location. The property is in an ideal location with only a 20 minute drive to conwy and 50 minutes to Anglesey. Overall, we were really impressed with the property and had a lovely week exploring the beauty of north wales. I would recommend this property to others.
Brilliant week would recomend it to any family group or friends Its clean enough and tidy Comfortable and homely Hot tubs very nice Lawn area big enough to kick a ball about but not level Theres a lane ok for dog walking Kitchen equiped enough for what you want Next village has lovely pubs and an excellent Chinese Again Brilliant place
this is an amazing house in a lovely location. walkable into local village 40 mins. and easily commuatable to Llyn Padarn, Llyn gyrinaed and of course betwsy y coed!. house is well laid out . two families with young adults and three dogs. enough space for us all with kitchen and snug and also large lounge which boosts a new corner sofa and wifi !! hot tub was a hit with us all. location great with views across the valley. overall a great house , great location and enough for us all to do if we wanted to!! looking forward to going back!! great value for money
We had a pleasant stay in a very nice location. The property is an older-style house and has not seen any refurbishment in a while. It's fine as a rural stay if that's what you are after, but it is not one of those smart, modern places if that's your bag. It needs a thorough upgrade, frankly. It was drafty and not really cosy, despite central heating. Take plenty layers of clothing. Freezer in kitchen inoperable, fridge would not stay closed. Dining area inadequate for max occupancy (though fine for our party of 6 plus child). No woodburner or open fire, which seems a shame. One TV, which was unwatchable as the satellite aerial is blocked by trees and does not have line of sight. Second TV is only for replaying DVDs, and has lost its remote. Furniture all old, and missing handles etc. Bit rustic, shabby but not chic. Sitting room is gloomy and shabby, but consistent with rural location/style. Hot tub well maintained but on an inadequate power circuit which keeps tripping. Kitchen well equipped (steamer, crock-pot etc), but really obvious things missing - like a carving fork. Dishwasher a bit small for a party of 7, never mind 12. Lots of dust and cobwebs everywhere, but it's a rural house; just felt a bit grubby. Overall it was OK, but a bit pricey for the quality. Showing its age and a lack of attention. Wifi is slow and flaky: plan on using your mobile signal (which is reasonably strong)
Been twice now for a family holiday with the kids dogs and in-laws plenty of space good access to local amenities and well priced. Little bit rustic for some but suits our needs very relaxing no hassle holiday
This house was very good to stay in with an extended family. There was plenty of room inside and out and adequate chairs etc for eating inside or out. The bedrooms were great but a little bit more storage in the en suite bedroom would have helped. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, equipment etc though we would have appreciated a large water jug, a milk jug, a tray and a clothes horse/airer of some sort as we had a lot of laundry with small children included. The outside space and hot tub were a great boon. Having a shambling garden was good for the older children and everybody enjoyed the hot tub almost every day. We were able to do terrific outings fairly locally including Conwy Castle, the Great Orme via tram, and beaches with parking nearby. The one day with wet weather we travelled to LLanberris and fortunately both the slate museum and the narrow guage train were both under cover which saved us from a soaking! The local contact and 'handyman' were both friendly and helpful and we eventually got the TV and internet working with advice from the former. (Maybe some sort of info sheet would have helped - but the difficulty may just have been due to the re-opening after lockdown). We shopped in Llandudno and the Spar in LLanwst was a handy local grocer. Great property in a quiet location with easy access to coast and Snowdonia. Great Holiday postponed for a year and enjoyed all the more! We're saving up to come again!
Great cottage in a fantastic location.
Excellent accommodation, the bedding was excellent quality. The beds really really comfortable. Had to learn how to us the oven and makes use that the trays fitted. All rooms were well appointed one had an on suite. Broadband works but limited to the front room but good 4G all over. Didn't try to get the TV's to work so cannot comment. Spent 90 % of the time in the garden and hottub . Like to thank the staff for the cleanliness and keeping everything going. Fantastic week had by all none wanted to leave.
We had a fantastic week at this cottage and it was the perfect place for a large family group with young children. The children loved exploring the house and garden and loved the hot tub of course! It isn’t the most modern house but to be honest with young children that really suits us as we weren’t scared of them breaking or damaging anything! The kitchen was well stocked and worked well as a dining area too. The fact that it’s detached is also great with noisy kids and no other houses around! Plenty of space for all our cars and more and the hot tub was really a lovely perk with really nice views. Great location for outings by car lots of things to do within 20 mins to an hours drive. The handyman was very helpful and all in all we had a brilliant time
What an amazing house. Full of beautiful original fittings and furniture. My only small criticism is the seating in the kitchen area wasn’t comfortable at all. We tried doing jigsaws but had to keep standing as seating uncomfortable! Otherwise it’s a beautiful house in beautiful surroundings!
