If you want a tranquil break, with peace and quiet in a lovely setting, this is the place! We enjoyed a great family holiday, with the fantastic outdoor spaces and the feeling of being completely on our own, even though the towns of Attleborough and Watton were just 15-20 minutes away by car. Easy enough to get to the Broads and the coast (both around 50 mins to an hour's drive away). Bridget couldn't do enough for us and we were made to feel really welcome. We'll definitely be back! Wonderful week in Burgess House - a family of 6 adults - both house and garden were beautiful. Lots of space so we didn't feel on top of each other, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting by the pond and the lake, and the hot tub was a real treat. Lots of lovely days out under an hour's drive away - we particularly enjoyed hiring a boat for a day to explore the Norfolk Broads! Definitely hope to visit again. Thank you.

We stayed at Burgess House for 7 nights from 31/07/20. We were a family of 11 with three generations the house and grounds were immaculate and we had a fabulous time. The hot tub is fabulous and the garden is perfect for children. Bridget is lovely and so welcoming and helpful. We cannot wait to come back as the house is in the perfect location to explore Norfolk. Thank you for a fantastic British staycation!

Burgess House was a beautiful house with plenty of space. The welcome package of cake etc is a really nice touch. The grounds are just amazing and you have free roam around the lake etc which was really nice. The kitchen was very well equipped and having two dishwashers and a very large fridge was a pleasant change from other 5 bedroom places we have stayed in. I would highly recommend the house for anyone wanting a get away, it ticked every box for us.

Just got back from an amazing birthday weekend at burgess house! Stunning home and views, made to feel welcome by brilliant hosts with a couple of little treats on arrival. Home is spacious and decorated beautifully and the hot tub is a massive bonus. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

We had such a fantastic week at Burgess House with our friends. The house is spacious, really well equipped and so peaceful. Beautiful surroundings and no neighbours to worry about so the kids could go as crazy as they liked. Fantastic setting with a lovely little walk through the woodland, around the lake and past the cows and sheep, all without leaving the grounds. The outdoor space was great for meals and playing games, not to mention possibly the best hot tub we've ever used! Even the lily pond proved the perfect spot for some morning yoga! There is loads to do in the area and is in easy reach of Thetford Forest and The Broads. We had some amazing days out and some nice meals at the village put. We can't wait to come back again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful property and gardens . Ideal for getting away from it all and we were met with a lovely warm welcome . We could not recommend it highly enough . Burgess House offers an exceptionally enjoyable, relaxing experience.

Really well-equipped house and probably the cleanest holiday property we have ever stayed in. Kitchen had everything and each bathroom was stocked with soaps, shampoo, shower gel etc. (which just makes things easier). Milk, juice, bread and a home-made cake being left on arrival was a nice touch. Pretty property to walk around - ponds, lake and woods. We loved the happy sheep in the fields next to the house. Plenty to do within an hour's drive - north coast beaches, boats on the Broads, Norwich, Thetford forest cycling and walking etc. Large lawn for games and a hot tub which we enjoyed every day. Would definitely return.

Burgess House had every thing we needed, the children especially enjoyed the hot tub and fishing in the lake.

Beautiful place to stay, so peaceful, lovely walks on the grounds. The house it's self was amazing, very comfortable and welcoming, the owner is lovely, leaving a homemade lemon drizzle cake, milk and fresh bread, she really went the extra mile which was lovely and enjoyed by all, we all had a brilliant time and would love to go back. 100/10.
