Overall me and my partner had a nice time together as we came to celebrate his 22nd birthday. When we arrived we was unsure which lodge was ours we asked a man who seemed quite rude who responded with, “ well it’s not ready your early”, we already knew this however we wanted to know before we found something to do. We had a drive down to the beach only 5minutes and we had nice time, nice walk. Wasn’t many pubs to go to in the area and found it was more older generation and most of the area was for dogs. Many of the staff in certain pubs and fish bars were rather rude and made us feel unwelcome. When we arrived at the log cabin, everything was clean and smelt very pleasant. The hot tub was cold as they have to change the water due to Covid-19 guidelines, which was also clean , making us feel safe. However we was only given one toilet roll for 3 nights which wasn’t enough, I would’ve liked something complimentary like bottle of fizz to make us feel more welcome but wasn’t given anything which was a shame as most log cabins provide this. Also we had to be out of the hot tub for 11 and wasn’t aloud drinks which wasn’t the best which made us feel uncomfortable and spoilt the fun, the log cabins are not private and rather close, you can hear conversations clearly and we walked past two to get to ours, although the log cabin was sheltered kept up out of the rain I suppose. We was in the hot tub when we we had another greet with the same man who told us we had put the hot tub up wrong and told us how we need to do it which we thought was rude and made us feel uncomfortable. Also felt less private and alone. The outside chair was also broken which wasn’t the best could do with a little bit of updating in that respect. Even though it wasn’t the best of log cabins and weekend away, we had a nice holiday together in the hot tub and relaxing. But Wouldn’t return or recommend.

Having tried twice to go abroad for our honeymoon we decided to try here and it was perfect, clean and a peaceful place to stay and relax.

The clock in the kitchen had run out of battery. The bed was a little on the small size for such a nice lodge. We had a problem with the heated towel rail but it was fixed by a friendly staff member quickly after reporting.
