Going back next year already booked and paid for

Very spacious lodge, beautiful location. Very quiet area. Lodge well equipped. May need a bit of attention to the small cleaning details and would suggest a more homely feel (pictures or mirror in living area) Couldn't connect to the internet but to be honest it was nice to get away from it all. Hot tub amazing, loved the fact it came with lights so you could enjoy it in the evening.

Great place. The lodge is roomy and the wet room is great. Only downfall was the mattress wasn’t comfy

The lodges were lovely. Very spacious and clean with a private hot tub and large decking area. Staff very helpful as well. Fishing lake on site as well as a 5 aside pitch, trampoline and pool tables. Marquee onsite selling alcohol and live music for entertainment. Shops close enough to drive to. Cinema, foot golf and archery all near by as well as only a half hour drive to Derby or Birmingham. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and we will definitely be returning again.

Had a great family break away. Not much on site for little ones but the huge trampoline & little play park was ok. The football pitch was also on hand for the older one which kept him quiet. Really cant fault the staff & they were more than helpful whenever anything was needed. Location is excellent & only a very short drive away from Conkers & other great places to visit in the area. The hot tub was fantastic & well maintained. I would definitely recommend this place.

Staff were lovely but little things lack like tea strains still in mugs and a kettle with a 1/4 inch of limescale in the bottom. squashed bugs on the nets curtains. Hot tub cover dipping into weather making it to rot bits off in tub

Stayed in the WF Lodge. Interior was like the most basic of caravans. You could push a wheelchair around it but that was the only accessible thing about it. Wet room was pointless as had no shower chair. There was a ramp to the lodge bit at the end of the ramp was giant builders gravel which made it impossible to go anywhere from the lodge unless in a car . We drove to marquee first night but it was grim could possibly have just been from the football night before but either way we didn't return. Our hot tub was dirty, rang to report it to be told the guy will be around some point to check. When he came he said it was checked this morning and was fine. It wasn't fine it was full of scum and I'm pretty convinced wasn't cleaned from previous guests. Needed emptying and refilling but his solution was just to put extra chlorine tablets in and use a tiny fishing net to get out bits of dirt, didn't help with the scum and oil floating in there . The over lodges look totally different in photos. Nice size kitchen and diner and open planned this was not how the WF lodge looked inside. The oven had one shelf and not trays and took over 35 mins to cook a single pizza that was supposed to take 10 mins. Place was just old and tatty and sofa covered in stains. There was q visitors book listing helpful suggestions since 2018 but have just been ignored, there's pages ripped out too. Would not return.

The lodge was very clean. All problems such as light bulbs and fire alarm batteries were dealt with immediately. It felt quite basic, mis-matched plates, bowls and glasses. The bedding was white and spotlessly clean but mattresses were basic and you could feel the springs. The pull out bed in the lounge was actually more comfortable than the single beds. The carpet and couch are stained and could do with a deep clean. The lodge looked over a car park and the back of terraced houses-disappointing view. The ramp in to the lodge, the patio and lodge are wheelchair friendly. But there are no paths, the roads and parking areas are loose stones and are not wheelchair friendly. The hot tub was great but has seen better days, On the patio there is a table with a fire pit. Gas can be bought for £35.00 a bottle if you want to use it. A bbq would have been easier. There is a large area of decking where a more disabled friendly table and seating could have been placed. Karaoke is very loud but does stop at 10.30, apart from our last night when there was ? a party/late night and the music, shouting and singing went on a lot longer. A lovely site that could be soo much better.
