Enjoyed every minute and will be booking again. The accommodation was fantastic. They even provided a bed for our dogs with some treats and a ball so they were very happy. The only downside was the checking in and out times as we lost 2 full days. The surroundings were beautiful and lots of things to do nearby.

Very comfortable

Some of the plastic glasses were in a poor state, the rims were melted in places (looked like they could have been burnt by a cigarette or match. Only 3 teaspoons for 4 people.

The lodge was too expensive for what we received added to the issues we had.

settee a bit to low and a little uncomfortable for us as we are old people but a lovely place and very chilled

As a family be absolutely loved this site and holiday lodge. We stayed for a week in August 2021 at lodge 62. As you drive onto the site you can tell immediately it's high end. From the manicured gardens, the restaurant and reception area, even the children's play area are all acceptional. All the staff and polite and professional, the lodge itself was spotlessly clean. The towels and dressing gowns all fluffy and the bedding felt top end. The hot tub was a great temperature with plenty of privacy. Probably one of the best sites we have stayed on in the past 10 years. I would say it was a little overpriced for the week however due to pandemic closures I appreciate sites need to recoup lost revenue somehow. We only experienced one problem and unfortunately it's why I can't recommend the site and why we wouldn't stay again. The beds! All the beds especially the main bedroom had the hardest mattress I have ever slept on, rock hard! Myself and my partner slept about 2/3 hrs each night. I even swapped with one of my children and slept in their single bed (small single not normal size) but again the mattress was solid and the bed was not made for an adult. I then resorted to the sofa, which didn't provide any further comfort for sleeping. We loved the site and the lodge, but after a weeks break away in order to recouperate from a very difficult 18 Months of non stop work as key workers, we went home exhausted from lack of sleep.

Our only complaint about our stay was the initial cleanliness of the lodge on our arrival. The lodge was a “Doggy lodge”, however we were expecting the the lodge to still be very well cleaned for our arrival. However we found there A LOT of dog hair present on the laminate flooring. We spent approx 3 hours on our first day hoovering and mopping the floors. On completion the water in our mop bucket was filthy, showing the flooring hadn’t had a good deep clean for sometime and certainly hadn’t been mopped before our arrival. The patio windows were covered in either child hand prints or dog nose prints, these were very visible and would have been easy to clean. Again, we had to clean these up. Also there were a lot of dead flys and midgies on the internal window ledges. Overall we did really enjoy our stay, once clean, the lodge was very nice. But the initial disappointment at the state of the lodge and then us having to spend our first few hours cleaning, did take the edge of our a stay. The pub / restaurant were fantastic with great food and drink. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

The lodges are very well maintained and very modern with hot tub and great views from the veranda. Dog friendly location with a dog wash some great walks and dog waste bins +bags dotted around the park. The kitchen could do with a few extra bits cups/glasses and cutlery but wasn’t a problem as we did mainly eat out at some of the local pubs. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Would have been 10 all round but sofas were not comfortable, maybe I’m just old. Absolutely beautiful lodges, immaculate, fully fitted, could live in one !

Pamela 10/09/2021

There were spiders webs that we had to hoover ourselves and the shower and bath in the 2nd bathroom didn't work properly , it wasn't getting hot and just trickled. Could also do with some kitchen scissors and baking trays as there weren't any at all.
