Lovely safari tent surprisingly very warm, the hot tub was lush as always and the welcome pack was a lovely touch x facilities spotlessly clean, swimming pool and spa all really lovely and well thought out ....great for small old and all to splash around! .love the bar and play area overlooking Bowlease cove x

The safari lodges are definitely more like tents which gives very little sound proofing both from external and internal noise - something quite important with a newborn! The rooms are also tiny. I feel the cost of the stay was extortionate when looking at the accommodation. The park was nice however and the safari ‘lodges’ were secluded. The bus stop right outside was useful. Cooking facilities were ok - good selection but then a couple of key missing items like chopping boards, additional recycling bags (couldn’t buy from spa).

The lodge was nice, but be prepared. It's looking a little dated and tired. The sofas were very uncomfortable. It's mostly canvas based around the walls with thin wood to protect against the elements, and because the other lodges are with about 15 feet of you, you hear everything from the other lodges. Next door were crying children as though they were in the lodge with you, on the other side was their music and behind us were couples laughing and drinking until the early hours. While none of it was particularly loud in the grand scheme of things, it's magnified by the very thin walls to your lodge that made for difficult sleeping on some nights due to the noise of the surrounding lodges.

I am still shocked how we allowed ourselves to pay so much money for this lodge. Hardly a luxury experience and a very tired and low quality lodge. We are not new to UK lodges and stayed in much better accommodation for considerably less - even in the middle of a staycation boom. Children felt awkward using the bathroom and shower as the windows are plain glass and overseen from the lodges higher up. They should not have had to feel threatened using either room. A single disposable BBQ is not a BBQ, and with no grill tray, any further BBQ experiences are futile. No cushions on sofa and very uncomfortable to sit on The only positive was the local wi-fi had good reception and speed - we had come away to get away from all that.

Rooms was dark had to leave lights on all day, could open wardrobe doors due to the beds, no cooking utensils for BBQ, there is enough room in the hot tub for 6 people. Overall the lodge is not bigger enough to accommodate 8 to what is advertised.
