The sofas needed cleaning really. There were no place mats so we were worried about marking the table. We expected WiFi in the individual lodges as most modern day accommodation does now. It would’ve been good to have a clothes airer/washing line to put out wet clothes on after the hot tub. The hot tub needed more of a screen around it to make it more private as we had a nosey neighbour!
The coconut cover around the hot tub needs renewing and extending to give more privacy. Also the the rails on the decking need treating with mould remover.Once the green mould spreads it’s hard to remove.Just small points which I’m sure will save you time and money in the future. Its hard to relax on holiday when you’re a handyman.
lovely place can not reccommend highly enough
Excellent best lodge we have booked. beautiful surroundings. only complaint RAIN RAIN RAIN for the full week except one sunny day
Excellent value for money, very clean and tidy lodge. The lodge wasn't ready when we arrived and we waited for it to be finished. Had it not been emaculate I might have been more annoyed but it was small price to pay to ensure it was ready for us.
Lovely lodge, needed a few minor things doing to it - e.g - oil the doors to stop from squeaking and 3 bulbs out on the cooker hood. It was lovely and clean and accommodated us well.
Great lodge with all amenities you could need, very comfy and spacious. Park is lovely and quiet. There were a few cobwebs around with would have been easily sorted with a feather duster, but otherwise very clean.
Overall the accommodation was in need of TLC and combined with the inflated pandemic prices this accommodation felt overpriced to us, especially as labelled “deluxe” The lady in the office was very friendly and solvable issues raised (damaged TV) were corrected quickly. On arrival initial impressions were that the lodge itself had lots of minor damage that we reported as soon as possible. The carpet and sofa were both very dirty, this is a pet accommodation and this obviously had contributed- we did hoover a few times during our stay and the hoover smelt like wet dog. There was no privacy around the hot tub and the lid of the hot tub was very damaged. The decking was covered in slippy green moss. Both double beds had incredibly soft mattresses which provided no support. There was also no Wifi or network signal inside the lodge. We use hoseasons frequently and have stayed in many lodges but we probably wouldn’t return here unless they thoroughly updated.
Our lodge was absolutely gorgeous. We were lodge number 15, 3 bed, dog friendly with a hot tub and we loved it. It was spacious, modern, well looked after and really felt like a home from home. We didn’t have any hand soap or washing up liquid, and only one bin liner, so make sure you pack those. It did seem odd not to have any hand soap so maybe that was an oversight on their part? Overall the cleanliness was really great, but there were a few tiny little issues like a bit of mould in the grouting on the Bath and within the shower panel etc. Nothing major at all, but just reduced my score a little bit. We were blessed with lovely weather so we got the cushions out for the outside furniture and had lovely times sat out, relaxing in the peaceful surroundings (it was seriously so quiet!!!). We had a toddler with us and there isn’t a play park on site, however there is one within walking distance although we didn’t go to see it. We went out most days - there is so much to do in the area!!!!!!! Canonteign Falls a must! - so we didn’t feel the need to find the play park, but please note this isn’t a site with loads of facilities like that etc. You’ll need a car to get around the area as it really is quite secluded. It was exactly what we had hoped for - a peaceful, relaxing, gorgeous break with walks on our doorstep and lots to see and do within an hours drive - in a beautiful part of the country! We would be more than happy to return and would definitely recommend to friends and family.
The accommodation was okay, but certainly not worth what we paid for it. It was in need of some repair and attention.
