Beds clean and comfy . Hot tub maintained everyday and spotless. Had a lovely holiday after we spent the day cleaning out the place. Staff at restaurant were lovely .food pricey especially if it's a family of 5 or so . Dogs allowed all over dining area barking perhaps a separate area would be an idea. Just because dog jumped up on child's chair while eating.(owners fault ) crockery hadn't been checked all plastic and few wre cracked. I would not unpack unroll I checked that everything was fine in future.. most problems were rectified but after cleaning and settled kids to bed and sat down . We could smell dos on sofa .sprayed and covered them with new beach towels .very dussapointed .

Accommodation was lovely but could have been cleaned a little better.

Positives: 1) The jacuzzi was impeccably maintained throughout our stay and always a pleasure to use. 2) The lodge was spacious and well laid out. 3) The outside area was screened effectively to give privacy - especially around the jacuzzi. 4) The bed was a proper bed and very comfy. I slept very well. 5) Spacious en suite bathroom and showers in both bathrooms giving hot water at any time of the day (not always a given on sites like this). 6) The quality of the WiFi was outstanding and with smart TVs in both bedrooms as well as the living room area, there was plenty of entertainment to fall back on when the weather was rotten (which it was for 3 of our 7 days). I scored 8 for Cleanliness as there were some marks on the walls which stand out given the white interior. This was more an issue of presentation. I felt the place was clean from a hygienic perspective and the cleaners probably do as much as they can given they have to fog the place between guests.

Location of lodge wasn’t great - near staff quarters, work site and looked onto a grass mound. Lodge was dirty - carpet covered in dog hairs, floor was cleaned well and patio doors filthy. The holiday wasn’t worth the money we paid.

High quality lodge in lovely landscaped surroundings. Friendly helpful staff and good facilities. Big site large number of lodges so may not be to everyone taste if want quieter location. Good shop on site with local produce.

Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided including plastic glasses to use on decking area/hot tub. The addition of coat hooks would be good.

Little attention to detail on cleanliness around door frames and inside the light shades but I'm really picking miniature faults as it was beautiful.

We had the best weekend at Ullswater Heights. The staff were so friendly and the lodges are just beautiful. The food is exceptional! The site feels very safe in all aspects. We will definitely be returning

We enjoyed our weekend in the lodge which was in a perfect location and the hot tub was easy to access. However the lodge did not have any empty cupboard storage space in the kitchen area and there was not much room even on the kitchen unit tops which resulted in us having to put food etc on the table. leave in the bags we brought the provisions in and where we could - all the cupboards had utensils, crockery etc in. We managed for the weekend but could definitely do with appropriate storage space. While the lodge was relatively clean when we arrived there was a dead daddy longlegs stuck on the roof in the lounge area and also in the extractor fan in the bathroom. Also on the window in the bathroom there were two small sachets of sugar and under the double bed there was a child's toy and also some clothes tags on the floor in the cupboard in the double room which I would have expected to have been removed when the lodge was cleaned.

Wonderful place for a relaxing holiday away from everything. Lots of walks and views to see. Highly recommended.

The lodge is great but just needs some thought to practicalities. 4 sets of dishes means washing up all the time which you don't want to do on holiday, especially when there is a dishwasher. There are no coat hooks and missing things like a chopping board.

Could do with a bottle opener a bed side light
