Very expensive for what we got. Tvs in every room a plus, but pictures make it look bigger than what it is. Bunk beds and ealls needed a good scrub as did mould in shower. Hot tub had stain in it which didnt look nice but kept temperature throughout stay

Cost was great but having looked ahead it is expensive in the summer holidays so we would def come out of season.

The lodge was situated in a lovely position on site and the hot tub was kept private so no one was overlooking you. The lodge wasn't as clean as I would have liked. There was dust on the tops of light switches and plugs which should be more thoroughly cleaned due to the pandemic and toast crumbs on the bench around the toaster. Also, the oven was left very unclean. I always carry antibacterial wipes with me so I cleaned this myself when we arrived. Informed the staff of this who were apologetic and came the next day to deep clean the oven. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we would return here again.

The beds were clean but we had to move the beds and it was clear that they hadn't been moved or cleaned underneath in a long time!

Absolutely not worth the price. We stayed in the family escape plus with hottub. The accommodation was tiny compared to the pictures, the chairs did not fit around the table, there was no where the travel cot would fit and the lodge was dirty on arrival. After 5 mins of being there, I took off my sandals and got glass stuck in my foot from the kitchen! The inside shop is unbelievably tiny & sells just a handful of products. A member of staff at the inside pub/restaurant was rude. We didn't have what my booking stated, I was told we had a welcome back with tea, coffee, sugar etc but there wasn't. I paid alot of money for 3 nights and it was such a waste.

Absolutely loved our stay here. We stayed in a 3 bed lodge which was huge and I have to say very baby friendly (curved furniture, lots of space for crawling). Couldn’t fit the travel cot provided by site into any of the rooms which was a huge inconvenience. furniture should’ve been rearranged to fit the cot into one of the rooms. Loved that the whole site was dog friendly, especially the dog walking field! Hot tub was very clean and worked well! Impressed with how private and covered we were when using it. The lodge itself had everything we needed, including bin bags, cloth, sponge, smart tv, fantastic WIFI, clean towels. Visited the restaurant/bar on site which was lovely overlooking the quarry, especially in the sunshine. Pizzas were nice but the other food was nothing specially. We had ribs and chicken burger and were both disappointed. Why bother with a charcoal bun? Also my partner left his jacket one nice and went back a couple of days later but it was nowhere to be seen! I do however have to point out how lovely all the staff were. They really couldn’t do enough for us! The site itself is missing entertainment for rainy days. I am aware that they have plans for a spa/swimming pool which will be a fantastic asset to the site. Perhaps something going on at the bar/restaurant might be a good idea.

    Lovely but expensive

Nice chalet except no storage space for food in the kitchen at all and hardly any storage for clothes. Had to live out of suitcases sat in the middle of the floor.

    Lovely little site

The lodge was very nice and had everything we needed, there were some signs of wear throughout and i think this can be expected but on the whole the lodge was very nice. The lodge was clean but not immaculate the bedrooms were all good but we chose to detol and reclean everything anyway but this is more due to the whole COVID situation and wanting to feel safe and comfortable. The domestic staff did a great job to make the lodge clean and I’m sure if they had the time to make it immaculate they would have done so. One the whole this was still an njoybale stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Could have been cleaner in places especially up high!

    Stuart 11/08/2021

Great lodges. No real issues. The radiator in the bathroom could have done with a better clean but it wasn’t dirty, just not pristine

    Lynne 14/08/2021

The lodge itself was great, however there was very little storage in the bedrooms and a lack of coat, robe hooks. More coat hangers needed in the wardrobes and either shelves or drawers within them because there was plenty of room for them.
