Not the cheapest holiday, but facilities were excellent.

The safari tent was amazing but we have a young baby so it wasn’t suitable for us. The staff were beyond amazing and found us other accommodation to suit our needs perfectly!

Enjoyed our stay in safari tent, Did hear abit of noise at night but after midnight was quite. Had some strong winds which did blow the tent walls about and was quite noisy, which did disturb sleep but was only for a couple of nights. Very relaxing holiday and really enjoyed the log burner and hot tub.

Full review above... furniture could do with some more cushions

The second time we have been to the safari tent, can’t fault it. Our dog loves it. We will definitely return next year.

The safari tent was amazing! Beyond what we expected - in fact all four of us when we walked into the tent were 'oohing' and 'ahhhing' and all said that two nights (what we were able to do due to lockdown) was not going to be enough! It was so well decorated, our children loved the cubby hole hidey and even loved the empty storage space underneath and turned that into a den! In fact, the simple touches made this such a fantastic resort - all the logs and firelog lighters included for the wood burner, washing up liquid, teatowells and sponges, robes and slippers all supplied for you. Everything was thought of. Only comment would be that the bathroom door does not have a lock on it - which for our family of 4 was not an issue but for larger groups, a little more privacy might be good and the kitchen could do with a little more storage space/shelves for food. The hot tub was fantastic and was the reason we booked this accommodation - as well as the quirkiness of the tent. It was set and ready to use on arrival - set to a constant toasty 40 degrees! We could not control the temperature of the hot tub so was a little too hot when first getting in but with the lid off for a little while it cooled. Smart tv was excellent though we did take our own DVD player to watch films.

Issues with others on site with illegal substances and loud music till late at night. The tents look as if they’ve never been dusted in their life (you can see it dangling down from the ceilings). Partner has a dust allergy so this was a bit of a nightmare but the average person probably wouldn’t be affected, just didn’t look as clean as pictures

tent was very affected by noise, next doors baby cried a lot. Guess thats what you get with a tent. Could make improvements with some accoustic fencing perhaps. Main problem was the cleanliness of the tent and the very late check in. We had to change our booking in the pub for dinner with the kids.

    Nice place great hot tub

More could be done to make the tents clean. Cob webs hanging from the lights, the wood burner not fitted correctly, crumbs in the pans so had to wash them before we used them. Not sure the outside table had seen a clean for sometime?? Little things that could easily be corrected.

Sofa was very uncomfortable and mattress can feel springs

    Samantha 03/08/2021

Some of our party loved the tent, some less so. Overall I think its fair to say it is very good for what it is. It is however not a lodge so understand what facilities the tent has and what isn't included. The outside BBQs are great, as to is the log burning stove. The radiators keep the tent warm and the hot tub is amazing. The big challenges are the small fridge, the lack of cooker (although there is an induction hob and microwave) and the lack of storage. All this is clear in the description just make sure you are prepared for this and everything will be fine.
