Great trip away. Fantastic Accommodation

Excellent place for a quiet break away. WiFi an extra which we decided not to pay extra for which is an option. Our kids soon got over this and we had an amazing week having them back off technology, enjoying the woods walks and hot tub fun!!

Needs a little refresh if you look closely and when looking for a missing remote found a battery and flip flop under the bed! But generally very happy with the cabin! Loved the facilities including the built in speakers in the lounge.

Lovely accomodation. Clean and spacious. Strange odour in the bath shower room.

Had a very relaxing stay.

Could just do with some comfier sofas for movie and day games and a little more storage in the kitchen area. Other than that couldn’t fault at all.

Some of the low markings, especially for the value for money one are based on these factual points. I appreciate we arrived in heavy rain but we had a difficult task in entering our lodge (25 fox plus) due to a huge, deep puddle on the path leading to the entrance. This could be quickly sorted by throwing some stone/pea gravel down. The next disappointment was seeing the sofas as we entered. One in particular was scratched so badly, as if a cat had been at it. The second more poignant point was the fact this would stop their ability of being cleaned correctly during COVID-19. Other issues were only 2 robes provided for the hot tub yet 6 were booked, loose toilet roll holders, no blind at the en-suite window, which was in front of the toilet and by the main road through the park. Not ideal for showering and toileting, being on full view of people passing. Last points, tv in one of the bedrooms, aerial broken (I fixed) batteries in the remotes, flat. Missing head rests in the hot tub and broken blue tooth facility. These little things are pretty basic fixes to address and would of made the stay nearer to 10’s across the markings, not sure we’ll be compensated in any way but it would be nice for you to look into these issues to make someone else’s stay truly special. Thanks

Nice lodge in beautiful surroundings. The roadway up to lodges could do with a little attention.

It's a quarry so signal is not going to be good .. but at nearly 1K for the lodge for a week I wouldn't expect to then be charged extra for wifi. The lodge wasn't the cleanest by any stretch (dirty tracks in shower, very dusty wall mounted tv's, lightbulbs in bedside lamps so dusty that they smelt when turned on. Oven very dirty and smoked when switched on (even when empty). En suite shower doors were off the rails at the bottom (this was rectified when pointed out, but should have been identified at the handover/cleaning stage) In the same shower ... the rising head was broken, but again, this was addressed once it was reported. There was no blind in the en suite and it faced the road! The hot tub lid was raggy/shaggy. Patio furniture consisted of a wooden picnic table that was not the best ... thank goodness we took camping chairs! The dishwasher door spring was broken and fell open ... and the fridge door needed an extra shove to close as well. On entry to the lodge it smelled terrible ... drainage problems? The outside tap on the decking had a leaking pipe which made the decking green. The hot tub is drained straight out under the decking and was muddy/sodden and smelled of old, wet dishcloth all week. Our decking had no sunlight and on a gloriously hot day was chilly. There are no clear car parking spaces and a 'party' across the road dumped their cars along our frontage willy nilly. The area near the bbq was sodden and muddy from the tub being drained .. but this was rectified with wood chippings being put down once we raised the issue (these things shouldn't need to be raised though) On a positive ... the lodge was spacious and the staff were lovely. But that won't persuade us to return. There are changeovers every day of the week and it looked like site staff had everything to do .. including cleaning ... hence not done to a great standard because they are run off their feet. Roads are stoney and dusty .. be prepared to wash your car screens during your stay! Nice woodland walk on site. A lot of money for a second class experience.

The lodge was very clean and tidy apart from a few high cobweb ,the sofa needed covering as the plastic already had some peeling on it so we had to cover it with something to sit on comfortably

The Fox plus is the biggest lodge we have stayed in and it was like being at home. It was comfortable and clean with a lovely decking and hot tub, you could sit and watch the wildlife all day.

The lodge is nice however I have stayed in lodges of a higher quality at a cheaper price, it could do with a little TLC so value for money could be better. There was a bit of mold around the windows and the exterior looked a bit tired. It smelled a bit musty when we arrived but the smell soon went. Hot tub was nice and clean and beds were very comfy and clean. Overall a great, peaceful stay just think the lodge could do with a bit of a sprucing up to warrant the price.
