Beautiful lodge.

Could not fault a thing. Wi fi is charged for but for us it is not essential. Nice to switch off for a few days. Whole place was like a well managed home from home.

The lodge was perfect in almost every way. The hot tub was quite private but was inaccessible by by my wife who has arthritis. The mattress was seriously awful and cheap, but when we told the staff about our problem , they gave us a mattress topper which resolved our issue. We could not understand why the bedding was such great quality but the mattress was so poor. Regardless, we had a great break and will go back.

As above The place and facilities were great, I just find it unacceptable to be charge extra for Wi-Fi in 2021, I was there for 3 nights and it cost £10, why not just add it to the cost to start with if you really need the money, but to charge and have to go through a loop of getting a code emailed is just dated and an insult for the money you have already paid. Also to have to check out by 9am but not get in until 4:30 pm also seems extensive so you only actually get 2 full days for a 3 night/4 days stay. It must not take that long to clean the place so why not get more staff so people can leave a little later and get in a little earlier like hotels do.

Expensive, no facilities on site

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights. The lodge park itself was really clean and well maintained. The staff were nice and helpful. We complained that the dishwasher was broken and they came to check right away, however she said that it couldnt be fixed until after we had left which was a shame, especially as the people in the lodge before us hadn't done a good job of cleaning the glasses, plates etc. so I have my suspicions that it had been broken for a while. The lodge was exactly as described in the photos which was good, the lodge was lovely and clean and was well equipped with kitchen items, though there was only one small frying pan - fine for a couple but might not be enough for a larger group so maybe bring your own. Hot tub was spotlessly clean and hot which was nice. We enjoyed spending lots of time in it, especially as the surrounding scenery is so beautiful. I personally found the king mattress uncomfortable and cheap, you could feel every spring and it sunk a lot. As a younger couple we were still fine with it, but it didnt feel anywhere near luxury. Definitely in need of an upgrade. As part of covid safety (I assume) we were asked to strip all bedding before departure. However I wish I didnt, some of the pillows looked dirty, most missing pillow protectors and the king duvet had holes in it!! Again, didnt at all feel like luxury. Overall I would reccomend the lodge park because of the lovely and peaceful scenery, and overall the lodge was nice. However, I would strongly suggest to owners to upgrade mattresses and get new pillows/ duvets and then I'd have rated a 10.

Excellent break - just far too short.

Initially a bit miffed by the £10 extra charge for the wifi, but when we arrived we actually had our own router in the lodge which meant we had no issues with internet connection, and with two kids, it was worth it! Lodge was clean, only issues on arrival were a pair of pants hanging from the hook of the en-suite and a dirty sock under one of the single beds! Not the end of the world but still not pleasant to have to deal with. Overall would definitely recommend.

Fantastic location I stayed with my wife and our two young girls who had alot of fun playing in the park, the weather was too nice for us to make use of the games room. But we did have a little look in, there seemed plenty to do. The lodge was fully kitted out with everything we needed and more... Really having to think hard for any improvements, I guess the only annoyance was having to buy our own bin bags for the rubbish bin as there was no spares. Thanks for everything, we had a fantastic week with you.
