The Hot Tub

The lodge was spacious and comfortable. The hot tub was a real treat and was maintained well throughout our stay.

Awesome holiday. It was just a shame that many activities were already fully booked by the time I received my email with instructions on booking activities. It would have been good to have had more activity sessions taking place each day, especially the activities for kids.

Great holiday. Everything was clean and so well organised. Activities were brilliant and the instructors engaged with the kids. My only suggestion would be to start breakfast at 9am in the restaurant rather than 10am, particularly on the change over days as you need to leave the lodge by 9am.

One of the best lodges on the site because of the location and view. Would suggest that some trees need cutting back a little to ensure the view does not disappear.

Great holiday with family but very poor lodge and spent most of our time in my family’s lodge as it was much cleaner and more comfortable.

The lodge is ideal for us - easy to keep clean and cook and relax in when we are not out cycling etc. We missed having cushions this year but understand the covid reasons. We brought our own blankets which made it more comfortable. The kitchen is pretty well stocked but I did bring a few things of my own which I remembered weren't provided from previous visits: wooden spoon, washing up liquid, clothes detergent, extra dishwasher tabs, cloth, kitchen roll, tin foil, an extra chopping board etc. It is fantastic to have milk in the lodge when we arrive, but it would be even better if a few more basics were provided eg salt, ketchup, olive oil. The bread bin had also been removed this year. The one thing that we all struggled with this year was the duvets! They kept slipping out of the covers. I think they are new, and there was no way to seal up the ends, plus the duvet material was shiny/slippy/noisy. It might be due to covid-19 to increase hygiene, but it actually woke my younger son up a couple of times and i had to redo them all every morning! The lodge was spotless which was much appreciated. The bike rack is very hand - is there somewhere to wash them on site? That would be amazing given all the mud! The living area seemed quite dark this year, maybe some brighter bulbs or more lights? Only one oven hood bulb was working. The en suite shower needs upgraded - the screens don't close properly and it is beginning to age. Only one bedroom tv seemed to work, but that was fine for us. These are only minor things; we all really enjoyed our stay and love coming back every year to this lodge!

The lodge is very comfortable and has wonderful views of Kielder reservoir, however it is getting ready for refurbishment, such as replacing double glazing, etc.

We love this cabin & always try to stay in the same one every time we stay at Kielder. It was immaculate, we felt very comfortable knowing that it had been cleaned so thoroughly. We love the view from this cabin, it's amazing waking up to that every morning!

Josh and Ryan were amazing with the paddle boarding and segway tour. They made everything a lot of fun but we're also very professional. They really made our holiday. Our lodge had everything we needed with amazing views and very private. Most of the staff were great but just a couple of unhelpful ones on reception. We also lost signal on our TV but there was no one available to fix it and none of the DVDs they lent us worked as they were either scratched or cracked. But overall a fantastic holiday and would love to return

Sofas were very uncomfortable. DVD player didn’t work.

The lodge was a good size but the furniture and fittings poor. In our kitchen the fridge freezer was not working properly, the dishwasher was not fixed properly every time you opened the door the whole thing moved. The leather chair and sofa were torn and scuffed, the armchair, the arm rest broken. The bbq and chimera a disgrace.

The Lodge was clean and comfortable inside although there were cobwebs in the bedroom. The outside if the lodge could have been better. Whilst we accept that it is in a forest area, the decking and steps were covered in bird droppings which were also down the outside walls from the nests and there were active wasp nests under the eves. Clearly a lot of this was long standing and could have easily been dealt with with a jet wash. Although this detracted from the lodge,it had great views and overall we had an enjoyable holiday

Loved the lodge. Definitely return and stay there again.
