Lovely and spacious, beautiful place to relax and chill with all of the family. Lovely walks around lake and burn. Hottub Lovely. Only one issue with no Internet for the 4 days we booked. We had no TV or WiFi as the TV had to have Internet connection. In this day and age Internet is essential. Tried getting in touch with owners, left messages and txt asking for them to fix but no response which was disappointing.
We had a great week here, the lodge was super clean and spacious. The kitchen was very easy to work in. With small children we are in most nights and when the weather was nice in the evenings used the decking for a drink or eating. Four double bedrooms was great and all bedrooms had storage space. We loved this lodge and would definitely recommend it our only issue was a lack of privacy when using the hot tub or sitting outside.
I think there should be wifi as we have been in other lodges on the site which has wifi, kitchen utensils need addressing as tin opener doesn't work, cabin states sleeps 8 but the dining table had 6 chairs and patio table only holds 6, couldn't use hot tub on an evening to watch the stary stars as advertised as there was no lights on hot tub as well as no lights out side was totally pitch black, due to covid we were restricted to the lodge but would be nice to have a little store near lodge, also we found instructions for cooker on day of leaving wish we knew where it was when we arrived as took a long time to realise how to work it properly but apart from this we had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay and the log cabin is beautiful would return
We had a lovely weekend. Nice and relaxing. Was very clean 🙂 the only thing that wasn’t good was the showers.. for a lodge that sleeps 8 and having two bathrooms where only one shower can be ran at the same time unless you want a cold shower. When one shower was on it have low pressure to the other. Other than that it was a perfect weekend.
We enjoyed our family break the cabin was spacious and reasonably well equipped an information book would of been useful for using the cooker hob microwave etc the hot tub and decking was lovely and we used it a lot The surroundings were quiet and there are nice walks round the grounds.if you enjoy getting away from it all I would recommend Leafy Run at Otterburn
Fantastic week we would all highly recommend the lodge. Thank you Mandy (housekeeper) for all your help ~ Booked in for next year. Celia ~ Phil & family
We had an excellent stay at Leafy Run. The lodge was well equipped, we were actually surprised at how much there was to offer. The hot tub was amazing, we practically lived in it! When we arrived, there was ice already in the freezer; tea, coffee and sugar provided and even some ice creams which was a lovely touch. As a group of 7, the lodge was the perfect size and the local area was sound. Only downfall was the local pub closed early a couple of nights which was disappointing but understandable in these times. We are 100% looking at booking again for next year and recommend to families/groups of friends/anyone!!
We had a fantastic time with our family !! The pricing for off peak was very good and the rooms and beds were very comfortable ! The kitchen is very well equipped and ideal for a family with everything you could possibly need. We travelled to Kielder, Rothbury and Haltwhistle.. so as long as you have a car it’s easy to get around, the restaurant on site was fantastic and the staff are absolutely brilliant ! We prevailed tea and breakfast and both were high quality and very good value for money . The log cabin itself is very spacious and we found the decking area so relaxing especially with a little one as it is gated and they couldn’t escape ! I would definitely recommend Leafy run for a family of 6+ . 🙂 x
We have had a lovely stay. Came for a nearby wedding but happy to have extended our stay for the week. Good facilities and location. Quiet peaceful stay able to visit many local places.
Just come back from a amazing holiday with the family , nice if you enjoy wilderness and exploring, lots of shooting stars to see on a clear night to enjoy while sitting in hot tub
Leafy Run is brilliant It is massive with everything you need for a chilled holiday. You do need a car as it is remote but perfect if you just want to put your feet up and enjoy the hot tub which was spotless and checked every day. There is a restaurant 2 mins walk away but book if you want to get in. The walks in the woods around the cabin are perfect if you have dogs. The only problem we had was blocked shower drain in one bathroom but just used the other one. Will be going back.
A fantastic weekend for my daughters 18th. Luxurious and spacious and amazing bar restaurant facilities on site.Even late availability for our little pooch after doggy care issues.
