Nesting box is absolutely stunning and situated beautifully in the countryside, but only a mile walk in to the Chapel St Leonard's beach. Spotlessly clean with everything you need. The owners (Sally and Neil) are very helpful and make you feel very welcome. It was such a pleasure to stay at the accommodation and we really didn't want to come home. There was a lovely basket of goodies waiting for us, including treats for our dog. The hot tub was great to unwind in after a day walking along the beach and the robes and slippers are a lovely touch. Do not hesitate to book if you want to get away from it all and relax.
We had a brilliant stay,we were totally blown away with how beautiful the cottage was and the welcome we had from Sally and Niel. Were were left a welcome pack with all sorts of goodies in and the walks out from the cottage were outstanding. Defiantly booking again and looking forward to seeing the pig, geese chickens and cows what an outstanding break. Thank you so much Dave and Helen
A beautiful, luxurious, secluded cottage. We loved the decor and the comfort and felt very relaxed staying here. The hot tub was wonderful and the bed is huge and very comfortable. We also loved the enormous fluffy towels. It was lovely to find on arrival, a generous basket of goodies which was an unexpected treat - thank you so much Sally! Sally and Neil are lovely friendly hosts and very conscientious - the hygiene of the hot tub and the cleanliness and safety of the property are obviously high priorities for them, which is reassuring to us as guests in these COVID times. We loved having the animals all around us - the pig is gorgeous! We loved seeing and hearing the geese, the chickens and the cattle and watching the black and white cat overseeing Neil on his trips around the farm. Nesting Box gave us a much needed relaxing break and we would love to return.
Excellent clean and welcoming cottage. Very well equipped with nice furnishings. Lovely enclosed garden for our dog who loved watching the chickens roaming about- she was fascinated by them! The cottage and area were ideal for our short break and we wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.
Perfect cottage to recharge our batteries, clean, comfortable, peace and quiet. Huge comfortable bed, relaxing hot tub. Cheeky yet fun farm animals. Truly loved everything about our stay here. Highly recommend to family and friends. Would definitely stay here again. Cheryl & Stan from Shipley, west yorks
We had a fantastic time dispite the weather , the cottage is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the countryside yet at the coast . Sally and Niel are great hosts and provide a well equipped cottage for you to enjoy .
Nice cottage in a quiet rural area. Short walk to village and a great Sunday lunch at nearby pub. Was nice to see the animals on the farm snd the hot tub is great. Only problem we had was flies and had to spray 4 or 5 times a day but as this is in a farm and next to the cowshed then I guess you have to live with that. Facilities in the cottage were good and bed extremely comfortable. We had the quiet relaxing holiday we were looking for
Our second stay at this lovely farm cottage confirmed our love of location. The weather could have been better, but we enjoyed the away from it all feel. The cottage is furnished to a high standard and the huge bed is extremely comfortable. I made regular use of the hot tub to relaxation. If you love animals there is a wide range on the farm, from chickens, ducks and geese, a couple of goats, a couple of donkeys, a friendly pig, and plenty of Lincoln Red cattle. While only a mile from the wonderful Lincolnshire beach we were within reach of several other places well worth a visit. The owners are extremely helpful, but do not intrude. My wife and I are hoping to return for a third holiday week in 2022.
We had a brilliant relaxing holiday and we thought the Nesting Box was amazing. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Sally and Neil were excellent hosts. We will definitely visit again.
The Nesting Box is such a well thought out holiday home, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we genuinely couldn’t have asked for anything extra. Sally & Neil are very friendly hosts and around and about if you do need anything though. The accommodation is immaculately clean , the hot tub in a quiet corner of the garden was used everyday after long days out . I adored visiting the goats each day (or them visiting us !) , I have spent the last 30 years trying to persuade my husband that we should have a pair of our own , so thank you for sharing them with us! A little welcome basket was a really nice addition , although there is a co op 5 mins away, or M&S 15 mins away so nice and easy to pick up any extras . Every item of furniture and equipment was elegant and well thought out which made being there a pleasure . It didn’t even feel like a chore to pop the washing on the line when you are accompanied by the chickens to do it. One of our main reasons for picking this property initially was that the location would provide us with a good base for days out . The beautiful beaches from 5 mins drive away were perfect for popping down to at the end of the day if we had time spare , Anderby Creek was particularly lovely , with its sandy dunes and miles of beach , free parking was a bonus too. We had some really enjoyable days out at The Ark wildlife rescue (can recommend the Coati encounter), Lincolnshire Wildlife Park (take lots of peanuts for the birds!) , Lincoln City , Hubbard Hills and Louth . Honestly all I can say is that you won’t regret booking here if you are looking for accommodation in this area.
Clean, well appointed . Super welcome package. Lovely enclosed garden area for a dog . Helpful owners. On a working farm with nearby animals and cattle, but flies were a major issue during our hot weather stay.
Had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The farm animals made it very special and the cottage was exceptional in every aspect. Sally and Neil were fantastically welcoming and we had a wonderful basket of goodies on arrival. Fabulous weekend, highly recommended!
Lovely home from home ,friendly Goats and chickens .Helpful hosts .
We absolutely loved this cottage,it was so clean and well equipped. The hot tub is a great addition and there were robes and flip flops provided too! We loved all the animals especially the goats! Sally and Neil are brilliant hosts and thank you for the lovely welcome pack, see you next year!
Great cottage, modern and clean. Near country and coast walks. Very friendly owners. Price was slightly dear but it was a bank holiday. For the price I would have liked to have seen small toiletries in the bathroom, and a more varied welcome hamper (it was mainly biscuits, cake and sweets, having a small butter and jam and more than 2 tea bags for breakfast would be nice),this would bring Nesting box to match other luxury hoseseasons cottages we’ve stayed in. This aside though, we did enjoy our stay and would return. Loved the hot tub and the garden to rest after walking.
