This well-appointed detached barn conversion is situated in a quiet hamlet, midway between Bridgnorth and Ludlow, two of Shropshire’s most well-known and loved historic towns. The interior of The Barn has been thoughtfully designed with beautiful stone floors and a cosy woodburner, and outside there is a private hot tub. Set in a convenient location, it is within walking distance of the locally run pub, and a short drive away from the visitor attractions of Ludlow with its castle and racecourse, Bridgnorth, Ironbridge and Much Wenlock. Also worth visiting are the River Severn, famous for its tidal bore, the River Teme and the Severn Valley Railway. Other local attractions include Rays Farm, the inland funicular railway and Daniels Mill. This is an ideal touring base for people wishing to explore Shropshire and Herefordshire, as well as the mid Wales borderlands. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 300 yards. Read More
Perfect quiet getaway
My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights for some quality time before Christmas. The place was beautifully clean, we were surprised with wine and chocolate biscuits on our arrival and the beds were lovely and comfy. We would definitely stay here again
The hot tub madeour stay as the chairs were broken the one toilet was dirty and the toilet rolls hold was covered in rust we had to go and buy some fly killer as we had big black flys ever day and as for the shower mat I had to clean before we could use the shower and it was all black
We had the most relaxing week. The welcoming basket was very kind and thoughtful. The cottage has a cosy feel with lots of lovely touches that made you feel instantly at home! The kitchen was well equipped and the cottage very private and quiet. Unfortunately it was cloudy at night so we never got to see the stars whilst relaxing in the hot tub after a day of exploring the local area! Thank you for our break, which was very much needed to recharge our batteries. We hope to return again.
A lovely cottage in a quiet village on the edges of the AONB. Community owned pub reopened for indoor food. Well worth the visit. A good base to visit coalbrookdale Much Wenlock, Ludlow and Bridgnorth or just walk the local paths. Too wet and rainy for the hot tub, but the log fire was just the ticket after a soggy day!
Both my partner and I had a wonderful stay at Newhouse Farm Barn. It's beautifully located with a splendid backdrop and tranquility, I would fully recommend staying here and a massive thank you to Nigel & Vikki for their warm welcome and hospitality. Kind regards Paul & Tam.
We were very pleased with the accommodation, minor niggles only, nothing major. The Barn was cool inside in hot sunny weather. Excellent hot tub with special towels and dressing gowns provided. Appreciated wine/eggs/jams and biscuits on arrival, provided by friendly owners and family in the main house on site. Step to Barn door is quite high, but the pond mentioned in the description is at the front of the main house and doesn't necessarily cause a problem to the immediate outside area of the Barn.
The barn was clean and fairly well equipped it was a good base for visiting Ludlow and Bridgenorth and for walking in the beautiful countryside. My only criticism is that the barn could do with an update
Great location with dog walks straight from the door. Pretty, private garden and hot tub. Definitely need vehicle to access nearby towns.
Amazing relaxing quiet getaway!! The Barn was amazing, we came for a week, 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We have a dog so the location was amazing, straight out onto a walk where we came across no one else. The Barn is cosy and well equipped, Vikki and Nigel were in touch via text to check everything was good and the welcome package was welcomed!! I have to say the eggs from the hens and ducks next to the garden are the best eggs we have ever tasted. The hot tub got plenty of use, as did the wood burner as we all chilled and enjoyed the tranquility. The local pub which is a short walk away was well worth a visit and very friendly!!
Lovely cottage. Had everything we needed. Few nice pubs within driving distance. Would recommend.
We had a lovely time here and the hot tub was a real treat, especially with the grandchildren. The Barn is spacious and the beds are very comfortable. It is well furnished and styish with lovely touches like toiletries and robes in the bedrooms. The treats on arrival were a nice touch and Vicky welcomed us on arrival and was very welcoming. The only criticism would be that we found it difficult to dry towels and robes without a dryer, especially as we used the hot tub almost daily. The weather was changeable and the only means of drying was a free standing airer. The range of kitchen tools was also a bit limited,no grater or extra tea towels.A small thing. Overall it is a lovely place to stay.
Thank you to Vikki and family for a wonderful stay. Thank you for the lovely welcome basket including fresh eggs from your chickens and ducks. We loved relaxing in the hot tub each evening watching the butterflies on the buddleia. A beautiful area with loads to explore. Great recommendations for where to go and where to eat. We would love to stay again.
Lovely cottage, very quiet .lovely people. Would deffo go again
Beautifully clean cozy barn located down a quiet bumpy lane. Lovely welcome pack including eggs from the owners chickens and ducks, plus a gift bag for the dog. Great hot tub where we were able to watch the birds whilst relaxing after walking in the surrounding area.
