Bigger cottage than pictures show, but in great need of loving care, bad traffic noise, outside space again needs some tender loving care.

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming cottage. The owners are both very friendly and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for either of them. Yes, the property is next to a busy main road but the owners and the website are both open and honest about this fact. We were not disturbed by the traffic noise as we knew what to expect. We both managed to sleep quite normally. (even with the side window to the bedroom open) This was one of the warmest cottages we have stayed in and after being shown how to operate the heating system found it more the adequate (both for hot water and heating) The owners told us they are in the process of having the kitchen and bathroom revamped which will make this property even more value for money. We will be quite happy to stay there again in the future.

The down ,it was fronted A40 road. You could hear tragic in the bedroom and not hear in the living room. It was basic, all the cattages. But is expected in these difficult times. We were suffering lock fever. And had had cold so we came home on the Thusday. Simply because I coughed in public and people looked. I don't have couraevious.

    Pleasant place to

Damaged cutlery, chipped crockery, broken door handle and spring sticking out of dispenser drawer on washing machine-caught jumper and finger on it. Found damaged saucepan. Advised owner about faulty boiler-only gives hot water when heating turned off! Repair was promised but seems nothing was done. Toilet needs a new ball valve as it drips all night. Advice about close proximity to a very busy and noisy A road only becomes apparent AFTER BOOKING IS FINALISED. Cobwebs on kitchen light fitting and drink splashes on radiator by TV. Fabric settee smells of dogs. Found lounge and bedroom carpets damaged. All this and asked for optional accidental damage insurance when booking- NOTHING LEFT TO DAMAGE.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage recently. It's a good location, lots of places within easy reach. The cottage itself was very comfortable (and recently refurbished) with everything you would need for a short stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely ģo back again.

Lovely cosy cottage. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Great walks around The Forest of Dean close by. The cottage is situated right on a main road which can get busy at times but we both managed ok and had a lovely restful week. Thanks guys we felt very welcome.

Doesn't look much from the outside but lovely inside. Very comfortable clean and well equipped.

Owners have made a very comfortable and welcoming cottage for visitors to stay in. It is very dog friendly, with an enclosed outer area, with gate. Also there is a second set of gates to protect the property from the road. A lot of thought has gone into the equipment provided , which is always a bonus. There is dog walking in the immediate vicinity, but the Forest of Dean is nearby. There is so much to see in the area, it is in a perfect spot. Would highly recommend.

This is a lovely, well appointed cottage, with very friendly owners. Optional hot tub which is very nice. The only single drawback is that it is situated on a main road with a lot of traffic, especially lorries so it is rather noisy most of the time.

Bus-stop just outside meant we could use public transport to get into Gloucester easily and keep enough petrol for other trips. The cottage was set in a beautiful part of Gloucestershire.
