Lovely place to stay with dogs

The lodge is in a beautiful location with lots of nice walks. The lodge had everything and more than we needed for the 1 week stay. The hot tub was the icing on the cake and a lovely way to end the day with aching feet. Mervyn, the host was very friendly and always ensured the hot tub was cleaned every morning. Nothing was too much for him. The washing machine was a major bonus as we returned home with no dirty washing. Would definitely go again 🙂

Everything thought about & provided for within the lodge.

The accommodation was functional and comfortable but was very tired and dated. The lodge would benefit from a good, thorough clean and a coat of paint. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and given helpful information and tips about the area. The lodge had a WiFi router situated high on the wall near the ceiling so was unreachable to be reset, the WiFi signal was very poor and nonexistent. The setting and surrounding areas were ideal as we took our dog with us. Even though we stayed during the school 6 weeks holiday so paid a premium price, for what we paid we were expecting luxury accommodation, which we definitely didn’t experience. Little things and changes would make the accommodation more welcoming; more modern and matching furniture in the master bedroom, matching and bigger towels, supplying bathrobes for walking to and from the hot tub, hooks on the backs of doors to hang clothes etc., resealing around the bath and en-suite shower as they looked a little mouldy, a correct shaped toilet seat that fits the shape of the toilet.

We had a lovely stay here, the surroundings are beautiful. The hot tub was a hit with the children and it was cleaned out every morning. The kitchen had everything we needed too. Nice relaxing break and we will definitely come back.
