General Info

Ranksborough Hall offers peace and tranquillity providing pure relaxation across beautiful landscaped grounds. Ranksborough Hall itself was built in 1893 for Lord Ranksborough who was equerry to Queen Victoria. A huge 50 acres of parkland surround the hall providing stunning scenery. The charming village of Langham is on the doorstep with two ancient local pubs within walking distance.

Rutland is England’s smallest and arguably prettiest county, and certainly lives up to its motto, Multum in Parvo (much in little). This rural escape is the perfect place to spend time enjoying the great outdoors. Looking for things to do in Rutland? Take to the water, and there’s plenty of it, nature reserves bursting with birdlife, and country houses. Tiny Rutland makes a big splash. Lap the vast reservoir by foot or bicycle and take in lush, green nature reserves where elegant ospreys with giant wingspans dive for their fish suppers. High teas are served up at this central county’s stately homes while centuries-old country inns pull cask ale pints. Visit castle halls harking back to Norman times. For a relatively small county Rutland has its fair share of golf courses. Get ready to tee-up with views across Rutland Water. The quaint towns of Oakham and Uppingham offer a range of individual boutiques. Uppingham is famed for its antiques and galleries, whilst the county town of Oakham offers a great mix of quality high street and independent shops – not to mention a castle!. The accommodation was lovely and made even better with a hot tub.

A very comfortable lodge with an excellent hot tub.

    Wonderful, would use them again

The lodge exceeded our expectations, everything was so new and clean and it just felt amazing to be in there. The hot tub was also amazing. We didn't have any issues with anything throughout our stay but the staff still made sure we had everything we needed and we knew there were there if we did need anything.

Holiday was excellent. The only issue which we had were ants in the living room. Looks as if the problem has been there before as there were ant powder down near the door leading to the HotTub. Other than this it was spotless

The place was very good. Hot tub was excellent. Only thing was there was no vacuum cleaner and there were ants everywhere in the caravan and lots of snails too on the caravan.

Cottage well equipped but not overly clean and infested with ants. Ideal for 3 people.

We struggled to obtain an internet connection and found the mattress a little too soft but would not allow these negatives to stop us booking again.

Clean well presented site. Ants on decking. No instructions with microwave but worked it out in the end.

Our stay was amazing highly recommend, we will be booking again! Nice, friendly, quiet, open space, a little privacy!

A very clean lodge besides a few cobwebs. The double bed is very short and due to being 6 foot my feet were sticking out over the end of the mattress but I got used to it. The hall is very narrow and the toilet compact but it's not a big issue and was expected of a static caravan. These are essentially just minor issues and so I would highly recommend this accomodation. We all had a great holiday.
