Rhos Barn, a traditional Welsh Barn adjacent to the owners’ farmhouse but with its own private and secluded garden, is set within a 100-acre farm in the rolling countryside of Carmarthenshire. This detached barn conversion has been tastefully renovated and provides stylish and quirky holiday accommodation for up to eight people, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The barn has been very sympathetically converted to ensure it retains its characterful features from the beams to the lovely cosy wood burner in the tastefully furnished living room. There’s a comfortable ground floor bedroom with en-suite shower room which is also accessible via a ‘Jack and Jill’ door to the living space. The bedrooms on the first floor are accessed from the staircase leading from the living room up to a mezzanine area with comfy chairs for relaxing with a good book! Across a little “bridge” from the mezzanine is a twin room with an en-suite toilet and basin, and the remaining two bedrooms (both en-suite) are off the main landing. The kitchen/dining room is a great social space with a wonderful cushioned window seat looking out across the courtyard to the farmland beyond. It’s a great place to gather and chat and drink whilst dinner is being prepared! The fully enclosed garden has the added bonus of a hot tub and a separate garden entertainment room with pool table, darts and ample space to relax in. There is also a further paddock within the grounds where you can enjoy outdoor games.
The National Trust Dolaucothi Gold Mines are 3 miles away and are well worth a visit; tours are available year round. Walks and cycling in the beautiful Brechfa Forest are within easy reach, as are the Brecon Beacons. Llandeilo, with its array of chic shopping and cafés and restaurants, is close by. Lovers of gardens will enjoy visiting Aberglasney or the National Botanical Garden of Wales with its huge glass dome - perfect for exploring at any time of the year. Horse riding and fishing is available nearby and the glorious coastline of Cardigan Bay can be reached in well under an hour. In the most wonderful rural setting, but with so much within easy reach, Rhos Barn is the ideal place for a relaxing holiday and you will feel right at home. Shop 11 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

Excellent place to stay and enjoy what south Wales has to offer. The weather wasn’t great during our stay but we still made the most of the facilities on offer. Most were within a 30 minute drive away. The views from the barn were stunning, and offered ample space for a family of 8. The owners were very friendly and on hand if we needed any assistance. We even had a delicious home made cake waiting for our arrival. Would most definately reccommend this accomodation as a relaxing holiday destination.

Loved this place. A very homely welcome feel. It was spotless. Kitchen had everything we needed (as enjoy cooking family meals) Rooms great. Hot tub spotless and heated at all times. Great social space. Games room well used. Favourite seat in the house was definitely the kitchen window seat!!

Couldn’t fault the barn at all. It was spotlessly clean and all the personal touches made it a really wonderful stay. We were three couples with 3 dogs and found the accommodation spacious enough, however had we been 8 adults it may have been a little tight. Perfect for a mix of adults and children. The barn really is in the middle of nowhere so it was around 20 minutes for a takeaway or a shop but this wouldn’t put me off staying again as the views and setting was well worth the drive. Peter and his wife were wonderful hosts and were on hand if needed and readily available to give us good tips on places to visit. Thanks for a fabulous stay

We visited Rhos barn as a family of 4, two boys aged 11 and 13. We loved every minute. The cottage itself is lovely. Clean, cosy and had everything that we required. The views are stunning and my children and husband loved the games room. The hot tub was gorgeous, clean and very inviting. We were able to get shopping delivered from Asda so didn’t need to waste time grocery shopping. Peter and Karen were very kind and inviting from the minute we arrived to the day we had to leave. I would recommend Rhos barn and are hoping to visit again in the near future.

The owner could not do enough to help us however there were a number of issues to be dealt with. Firstly we were contacted on route to advise that there was no water supply and secondly we had a flooding incident following a heavy downpour. The owner responded well to these problems but it did disrupt our stay. Lovely property but too remote for us.

Had a lovely holiday at Rhos Barn. Something there for everyone to do, the games room and hot tub were a hit with my sons although we enjoyed them just as much. Nothing was to much trouble and Peter was always on hand if needed. Would definitely recommend to others, fabulous place

Fantastic place to stay for a large family. Enjoyed the garden, hot tub, barbecue and games room. Great location for walking in the Brecon Beacons. Also not too far away for the Pembrokeshire Coast. The barn has everything you need and very comfortable, nice & clean too.
