Ranksborough Hall offers peace and tranquillity providing pure relaxation across beautiful landscaped grounds. Ranksborough Hall itself was built in 1893 for Lord Ranksborough who was equerry to Queen Victoria. A huge 50 acres of parkland surround the hall providing stunning scenery. The charming village of Langham is on the doorstep with two ancient local pubs within walking distance.

Rutland is England’s smallest and arguably prettiest county, and certainly lives up to its motto, Multum in Parvo (much in little). This rural escape is the perfect place to spend time enjoying the great outdoors. Looking for things to do in Rutland? Take to the water, and there’s plenty of it, nature reserves bursting with birdlife, and country houses. Tiny Rutland makes a big splash. Lap the vast reservoir by foot or bicycle and take in lush, green nature reserves where elegant ospreys with giant wingspans dive for their fish suppers. High teas are served up at this central county’s stately homes while centuries-old country inns pull cask ale pints. Visit castle halls harking back to Norman times. For a relatively small county Rutland has its fair share of golf courses. Get ready to tee-up with views across Rutland Water. The quaint towns of Oakham and Uppingham offer a range of individual boutiques. Uppingham is famed for its antiques and galleries, whilst the county town of Oakham offers a great mix of quality high street and independent shops – not to mention a castle!. Really enjoyed a relaxing weekend here

It was beautiful. So well decorated, had everything you needed and you get a little welcome pack with washing up things for the dishwasher or if you wanna hand wash. The bathrooms were lovely and big, the bed were comfortable! Only downside is the small TV and no WiFi. They're looking to bring WiFi in, which I imagine wouldn't take too long. But it didn't impact our holiday too much!

This was a last minute booking and we were not disappointed, we have visited the area before and this location did not disappoint, the staff were very friendly before and during our arrival. Would definitely visit again.

Had an absolutely lovelly stay. Cant find any fault. We stayed in a new Rivendale Pet Lodge and it was stunning and had everything we needed. Hot tub was amazing after a day out exploring. The resort was an ideal location for visiting Rutland Water, Belvoir Castle and long leisurely walks. The staff were very helpful and friendly and checked on us daily and provided any assistance or advice needed. The grounds and site were well maintained and clean. Will definitely be back

Could not fault the caravan itself, had one minor issue but when I told a member of staff they came and fixed it straight away.

Outside table and chairs would add to this lodge.

As above lovely lodge but should have outdoor furniture

    Angela 19/07/2021

Good layout, spotless on arrival. On hottest days (26-29c) the lack of air con or fans was less than ideal.

Great lodge, spacious and kitchen/utility had everything you needed. Cleanliness was to a good standard, just a few things missed. You are made aware of no WiFi and furniture on decking, both would make such a difference. A little inconvenient to bring your own furniture as not everyone has items they can pack in the car. I’m glad I brought mine and was able to enjoy the outside space in such a hot week !

We were all really impressed, the cottage seemed to be brand new, the beds were comfy, the only thing that could have been better is having more cooking utensils, bowls etc
