Ranksborough Hall offers peace and tranquillity providing pure relaxation across beautiful landscaped grounds. Ranksborough Hall itself was built in 1893 for Lord Ranksborough who was equerry to Queen Victoria. A huge 50 acres of parkland surround the hall providing stunning scenery. The charming village of Langham is on the doorstep with two ancient local pubs within walking distance.

Rutland is England’s smallest and arguably prettiest county, and certainly lives up to its motto, Multum in Parvo (much in little). This rural escape is the perfect place to spend time enjoying the great outdoors. Looking for things to do in Rutland? Take to the water, and there’s plenty of it, nature reserves bursting with birdlife, and country houses. Tiny Rutland makes a big splash. Lap the vast reservoir by foot or bicycle and take in lush, green nature reserves where elegant ospreys with giant wingspans dive for their fish suppers. High teas are served up at this central county’s stately homes while centuries-old country inns pull cask ale pints. Visit castle halls harking back to Norman times. For a relatively small county Rutland has its fair share of golf courses. Get ready to tee-up with views across Rutland Water. The quaint towns of Oakham and Uppingham offer a range of individual boutiques. Uppingham is famed for its antiques and galleries, whilst the county town of Oakham offers a great mix of quality high street and independent shops – not to mention a castle!. Lodge was absolutely lovely, very clean and the hot tub was fabulous. Not much privacy around the hot tub area, that could probably have been better. The bed wasn't very comfortable either but the quilt and pillows were fantastic. Appliances and furnishings all very nice.

Perfect Lodge!. Helpful And Friendly Staff.. had Everything We Need.. Only Small Thing.. A Brush And Pan.. And Outdoor Brush In Each Lodge Would Help In Keeping Everywhere Clean. But Definitely No Bad Review From Me!

The reason I gave a 9 for comfort and equipment was there is no outdoor furniture to sit on, when on the decking, we took our own camping chairs.

Apart from the ant problem everything else was spot on

Couldn’t have been a nicer lodge to stay in. Was very clean and had extremely good and helpful equipment. Had everything we needed and a whole lot more too. I was extremely impressed with the lodge and the staff were so helpful and kind too. Would definitely stay here again.

We were very pleased we chose the Rivendale lodge. It was immaculate and the furniture and decor were of very high quality. We were pleased that our lodge was ready for us at 3.30pm which was a nice bonus. Our hot tub was also very pleasant - a real treat. We liked the contactless check-in and the lodge information which was emailed to us a few days before; it was well organised. It made an ideal base for us to explore Burghley House, Rutland Water, Stamford and Oakham. The only two things that were missing were wi-fi and decking furniture, but we knew about the wi-fi when booking. The Wi-Fi in particular would be nice if we were to visit again. Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Fab clean accommodation, everything you would need is all to hand

Overall really good. No issues with accommodation however i think a 5pm check in and a 9am check out should be changed (especially the early check out). Otherwise a really chilled enjoyable weekend!

The well equipped lodge was clean modern and perfect for our week long break. The hot tub was serviced daily and staff couldn't do more for you if they tried. Rutland Water isn't far away for water sports and bird watching. Walks and cycle rides are all within reach of the lodges. We will return.
