A stunning lodge with one master double with en-suite shower room. Two twin rooms. An open plan living area featuring a Smart TV, leading into a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher and fridge freezer. Doors leading to decking with outdoor hot tub and furniture.

Ranksborough Hall offers peace and tranquillity providing pure relaxation across beautiful landscaped grounds. Ranksborough Hall itself was built in 1893 for Lord Ranksborough who was equerry to Queen Victoria. A huge 50 acres of parkland surround the hall providing stunning scenery. The charming village of Langham is on the doorstep with two ancient local pubs within walking distance.

Rutland is England’s smallest and arguably prettiest county, and certainly lives up to its motto, Multum in Parvo (much in little). This rural escape is the perfect place to spend time enjoying the great outdoors. Looking for things to do in Rutland? Take to the water, and there’s plenty of it, nature reserves bursting with birdlife, and country houses. Tiny Rutland makes a big splash. Lap the vast reservoir by foot or bicycle and take in lush, green nature reserves where elegant ospreys with giant wingspans dive for their fish suppers. High teas are served up at this central county’s stately homes while centuries-old country inns pull cask ale pints. Visit castle halls harking back to Norman times. For a relatively small county Rutland has its fair share of golf courses. Get ready to tee-up with views across Rutland Water. The quaint towns of Oakham and Uppingham offer a range of individual boutiques. Uppingham is famed for its antiques and galleries, whilst the county town of Oakham offers a great mix of quality high street and independent shops – not to mention a castle!. The site, lodges and surrounding areas are lovely however it's not what I would call a luxury lodge. No outdoor seating - advised to take own. No internet access. Tvs are smart tvs but unable to use. Not even a dvd player. Two of the bedrooms have TV stands but no tvs in there. Unable to use own music as no WiFi. All hot tubs face to the front of the lodges so absolutely no privacy. Only one towel allocated per person. Asked to ensure all crockery and utensils are washed before leaving but only provided with 2 dishwasher tablets for 5 people staying for 4 nights. Such a shame really.

Lovely standard of accommodation although more seating would have been good. There was no patio furniture and only 4 chairs instead of 6 round the table. We had to move indoor chairs so we could all see the tv. Very helpful staff. Hot tub a bonus.

My only gripe is that everything is so generous except for the initial coffee, tea and milk in the welcome pack.
