Lodge was lovely though not very well equipped but part of this could be down to the COVID rules. Not enough cutlery and utensils etc. The hot tub was lovely to relax in and totally private.

Beds were so comfy that we didn’t want to leave! Wet room was an issue as drain fitting is too high so water takes a long time to drain. Water pressure in main bathroom bath head was weak. Amazing lodge and great facilities.

This lodge is beautifully decorated in a very modern and stylish way, with all mod cons throughout. The living area is large and very comfortable. The bedrooms are beautifully styled, each with its own bathroom and the larger one also has a dressing room. The lodge stands on the edge of a pretty little fishing lake with lots of wildlife to see. Each lodge is well distanced from the next which gives a feeling of space and privacy. The covered jacuzzi is a great boon as it seems to rain constantly these days! We used it every day and really enjoyed it. There are lots of restaurants in the local area and the mere at Ellesmere is great for a nice stroll.

More crockery, cutlery and saucepans would have been good.

The lodge is very nice however it could do with quite a few improvements. The outside looks old and weathered compared to the rest on the park. There are bugs galore - a little more than normal when usually in the great outdoors! The inside could do with a good clean and lick of paint with some new furnishings. There were squashed bugs and insects on most of the walls and doors. Cobwebs on the ceilings and windows. The info before booking states that the pots etc are all re washed however this is not the case as ours still had food on. Little extras which make the place sound more appealing than others such as the coffee machine etc couldn’t be used as it needed descaling and wouldn’t work otherwise. The bedding smelt awful to the point where I had to buy a bottle of fabric Febreze and even after using nearly the full bottle they were still rancid. Don’t expect to be able to go without having to buy oil, salt & pepper, tin foil etc as nothing is provided for you. Sofas not the most comfortable and could do with being replaced. The drain in the shower needs to be lowered as you almost flood the bedroom as it fills up too much. You don’t see any members of staff and the idea of being left with one towel per person and no spare linens/tea towels etc and nowhere to clean them isn’t nice at all. This seriously needs rethinking!

What a fantastic place. So pretty and quiet with lovely views of the lake. The accommodation is modern and in excellent condition. The enclosed hot tub was a real bonus. There are lovely places to eat and drink a short drive away and the Mere at Ellesmere is fantastic for a walk.

Wonderful peaceful location and base to explore. Sandringham lodge very well refurbed inside but more tlc needed outside. Be good to have more crockery and oven glove provided. Local staff and Holly at Hoseasons responded well when we had a leak into the second bedroom and all sorted that same day.
