Location

Reviews

Location wise it’s easy to find. Lots of issues though. Check in and checkout times changed so lost half a day there. Bathroom window was 9 foot high, and open so couldn’t close it when it rained so the bath filled with leaves etc. Everything in the surface looked clean but we used surface wipes on arrival in the kitchen and the surfaces all turned the wipes black so not sure what extra cleaning they had supposedly done. The deck outside hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time as was full of moss which we cleaned. Wifi is so slow that you can’t do anything, can’t even chromecast as it’s so slow. Less then 1mb connection available. Curtains in the living room to the deck where three inches too long so we’re mouldy at the bottom. DVD player was connected or set up so I had to do that on arrival. We broke a tin opener on day 4, that’s when we found out that the reception wasn’t manned during the day. We subsequently found out that the dishwasher was flooding the sink under the kitchen. We rung the emergency number and took 4 hours for someone to come out to fix the issue. The hot tub wasn’t cleaned or a skimmer provided and with the amount of mosquitoes around, a slimmer would have been useful. They did test the ph level in the hot tub daily though. No extra towels provided or robes, so we had to go and buy some as your really need at least one for when you get out of the hot tub. Rules say no music outside after 10 and hot tubs not to be used after 11. This isn’t enforced, so we had to mention this to other users at midnight when we wanted to sleep. Bedrooms were clean and the beds very comfy. The sofas in the living room were completely stained.

Nice clean and comfortable lodgings. If you're adventurous you will have to be prepared to travel as there is very little local facilities. This is explained in description of booking so go prepared, just as we did and enjoyed every moment.

Very nice lodge and hot tub. Lodges are too close together though and bbqs are not allowed!

The lodge was lovely and the park was very peaceful. It was a shame the lodge we stayed in was under trees which made it quite dark inside. The roll top bath proved a challenge for the older generation - we are all so used to nipping under a shower. The outlook from the lodge over the fields was really nice, and a bonus when using the hot tub.

Upon arrival the lodge was dirty and had not been thoroughly cleaned. No extra pillows available on request only per person supplied. Bathroom shower needs maintenance shower fixing faulty. Requested 2 double which was confirmed in a phone call but on arrival one was a twin. Hottub not suitable for 4 adults, temperature was too hot had to wait for employee to turn it down the next day.

Had to complain about bad staining on cream 2 seater settee and footstool, footstool was replaced and base cushion covers taken away to be washed. This should have been done before we arrived as they were disgusting. Lodges were sited too close together, but it is only a small site.

Overall this was a great cabin, however, floors were dirty upon arrival, had to clean up the best we could ourselves due to having a 1 year old. Cleaner came back at our request the following day. Staff acted swiftly when we alerted them of the issue. Would prefer a king size bed, should have double checked this when booking, didn’t affect the holiday though. Would have preferred a hoover to be available and a clothes airer. In general, we were very happy with the cabin, shower was a great size and powerful, dressing area and wardrobe space very good. Would definitely recommend and we would return.

A lovely place to stay.

Just in the shower area could do with the grouting redone due to limescale.

Beautiful lodge, nice and clean and in an excellent location for days out to Eastbourne and Brighton. Lodges close together but hot tub still private and not overlooked. Would definitely recommend and book again if returning to the area.

Good lodge with all that you need.

Phillip 05/08/2021

Very small outside area with bench seating where other lodges had wicker garden furniture. Dishwasher stopped working half way through stay and only one space for a car. Towels could do with replacing. Hot tub was lovely but felt it was too hot and couldn’t work out how to change temp. Overall not terrible but wouldn’t rebook

Eastbourne, Hastings & Brighton are great places to visit with lots to do. Sadly this holiday park is no close enough and is very dated, I wouldn’t recommend.
