    Amazing no other words.

Excellent Lodge with everything we could've needed. There was plenty of room for my infant son to safely roam in the living room. The kitchen had all the essentials and more. Rooms were a great size and the hot tub and sauna were kept at a very high standard. The beautiful view out the front and privacy at the back gave us everything we needed for a relaxing, safe and comfortable mid week break. We will be back for sure. Many thanks, Colin U.

We stayed in the Spa retreat and it was stunning. Location was good, views were amazing and everything was to a very high spec in the lodge. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be rebooking and we have already recommended to our family.

Hoping for a week of luxury but first impression when pulling up to our lodge was a big letdown! It looked like a it was dressed for Halloween, covered in spiderwebs which were covered in white seed heads from the patio area at the rear. Hot tub was great although you couldn’t take in the view was the Perspex screens were filthy, onto the sauna which was rubbish (max temp 35c) waste of time. Later into the evening we sat out on the patio and attempted to light the gas fire pit, it also didn’t work! Having only been given one bath sheet each they were left on the heated towel radiators ( one in each bathroom) only to find one of them didn’t work either. So one towel each for a week, no linen change. We paid a premium price for what was meant to be a premium lodge, not good value and stayed in much better for less than half the money. We vacated one day early.

The cleanliness of the lodge would be the only reason we wouldn’t return to Ullswater heights. The location was perfect, staff were helpful and friendly, the restaurant was lovely.

    Sam 30/06/2021

Only complaint would be the overpriced restaurant

    Marie 30/06/2021

The lodge didn’t quite live up to its luxury tag, kitchen very poorly equipped, furniture not the comfiest, bedrooms short on storage. However, this would not prevent us making a return trip, ass there were plenty of pluses.

This is our second stay in the spa retreat and we would definitely book again.

I’d think twice about booking Ullswater Heights, this was actually our 2nd visit after we’d had problems with our first visit shortly after they’d opened, we had power cuts, the previous guests washing left in the machine and toenail clippings in the bedroom! We were offered a discount and a pledge to show it was a one off, it’s clearly not! I actually emailed before our holiday to enquire out local amenities and to ensure the lodge would be cleaned thoroughly, they only replied to my amenity query! If you read other reviews they clearly have a problem with cleanliness. I’d look at Keswick Reach, we’ve stayed there 3 times, always a perfect, clean experience.

Excellent stay in spa retreat lodge, weather was good & made use of outside patio seating area and firepit, good location for exploring major sites in Lake District, great to get back and relax in sauna and hottub, lodge was clean on arrival, few issues we had were quickly sorted after a call to reception, excellent professional service from maintenance, on site restaurant & bar we ate a few times, menu could have been better and offer more choice, takeaway service wasn't running but on arrival we received leaflet for recommendations for local takeaways which we used twice and they were yummy. Overall we had brilliant holiday we didn't want to leave and have already booked for next year.
