We stayed at the St. Andrews lodge monday - friday for my partners 30th birthday break. During this time due to covid the restaurant wasn’t open but the golf facilities were still available which my partner loved. Our garden was situated right next to the golf course. When my partner was on the 18th tee box I was able to stand and talk to him from our decking area. The views are beautiful. The lodge is beautiful. Decor is very modern, clean and tidy. Hot tub in your garden perfect for relaxing breaks. Would definitely reccomend! Master bedroom has an en suite with shower. Main family bathroom has bath and shower. There are so many windows to let in cool air as it was quite warm when we went in July. The garden is huge and you have seating area on decking area and also in the actual garden. Sky tv in living room and you have netflix youtube freeview etc in the bedrooms. Definitely book if you’re pondering on the idea!

The St Andrews Lodge itself was absolutely beautiful and was spotlessly clean. Very luxurious as described. The hot tub on the other hand wasn't the case. Although it was stated it was cleaned an maintained, on the second day we were greated with numerous dead midges in the hottub and a brown layer of foam around the edge. I did see a member of staff topping it up with the hose on the Saturday, but no chemicals were added and no one visited on the Sunday. To top it off, the site is constructing a new wing of lodges so there's a mini building site next door. If we would have had a useable hottub we couldn't have used it as it felt as though you was on show for the building staff. Overall I feel like this has spoilt our trip and we probably won't return.

As said above…..Great view from lodge, was well equipped, disappointed in preparation as boiler wasn’t working, bulbs out in a few places, handles on cupboard and dishwasher substandard. Response to fix mixed…..some bulbs still out and handle on dishwasher still broken. Additionally lodge is next to cesspit which is fine but it was emptied at least x2 times a day and if you were in soaking up sun on decking and wind in wrong direction it wasn’t overly pleasant. We paid top dollar for this probably due to high demand for staycation so think carefully if it’s worth it. Also no Covid precautions that we have seen elsewhere…no wipes, no hand disinfectant, loads of cushions, bed throws etc.

Beautiful lodge inside and view from the lodge over the golf course is lovely. Only problem is although the hot tub has nice it's location at the side is a bit awkward to get to and is not very private.
