Meander down with a cup of coffee and catch the sunrise or, as the sun goes down enjoy a drink on your own private hot tub decking. Accessed from the upper floor lobby of the former stable block, Tack Room Cottage is the boutique sister cottage to Hayloft at Dalesend Cottages. As the name would suggest, it once stored the tack (saddles and bridles) for the horses of the stable block below. In keeping with the history of this former stable block, it is decorated with saddles and bridles. A stylish open plan area, with beautiful high ceilings, gorgeous roof beams, and luxurious fixtures and fittings. The dining table looks out over the stunning parkland. The living area has an L-shaped sofa to relax upon and watch your favourite movies on the smart TV and there is a cosy wood burner to keep you warm when the nights turn chilly. You can watch the television from the luxury of your kingsize bed, and be pampered with underfloor heating in the en-suite bathroom. Stroll out and down the drive and enjoy a walk round the ancient parkland beside the stream. In summer, sit on the east side of the house lawn and watch the sun set. A magical moment to remember. In the warmer months enjoy a game of tennis within the beautiful grounds.
Out and about there is so much to explore in the Yorkshire Dales with amazing walking trails and popular cycle routes. You can easily reach Wensleydale, Swaledale, Coverdale and Arkengarthdale from Dalesend Cottages, and there is a wide assortment of very good country pubs and exceptional restaurants to enjoy along the way. Tack Room makes an ideal base from which to enjoy Bedale, Leyburn, Masham and the wider Yorkshire Dales, with spectacular scenery and picture postcard villages.
Tack Room Cottage can be booked together with Hayloft (UCK4555) to accommodate up to 4 guests.

The Hot Tub

Wonderful cottage with beautiful interior design and high quality fittings. Very cosy and welcoming. The hot tub accessed across the boardwalk is lovely as it looks out over the fields. Great to watch the bats and rabbits at dusk. The grounds around the cottage are lovely and it’s nice to be able to sit on the lawn with a glass of wine. Excellent recommendation for dinner- The Blue Lion at East Witton. Superb. Thank you!

The Tac Room cottage on a private estate made for a very peaceful stay. The cottage itself was comfortable, a place of character enhanced by some appropriate props. We felt that the cottage lived up to our expectations as advertised.

An excellent apartment within gorgeous grounds in an ideal central location to explore both the Moors and Dales.. Whitby to the east is about 1.5 hours away and it's about the same to Ribbleside area to visit the infamous viaduct and Malham Cove to the west. The estate is beautiful and well maintained - a real gem in the centre of this vast county to head out from and return to at the end of a tiring but exciting day. Covid has a lot to account for in the slight reduction in scores as the owners have had to jump through hoops we imagine to be able to accomodate guests so a few mod cons were missing/removed and we had to allow for a few reduced services but this is of no real fault of the hosts, more the times we live in 2021, so I'm sure in "normal" times this would score 10/10 across the board. The hosts were available if we needed them (which we didn't as nothing caused us that much "inconvenience") and were excellent in the information provided. The apartment was comfortable and the included hot tub with the Tack Room an absolute God-send. This was a perfect way to soak away the day's aches and pains from the adventures of the area - we did a LOT of walking, some running and hours spent on our feet exploring this wonderful region of England. A perfect way to let the sun go down in your own little private sanctuary. If you're a couple, don't hesitate.
