Perfect for couples or a small family, this cottage promises a wonderful stay all-year-round, elevated by a homely interior and natural lighting, which is drawn in from the outside. The warmth from the woodburner will set you up for many cosy nights on the L-shaped sofa, and ceiling spotlights are a lovely addition to the room. The twin room is equally as charming, tucked away beneath a sloped ceiling, with pastel bedding to uplift the ambience. The village of Brynteg is home to a pub and the Storws Wen golf course which also includes a restaurant, should you wish to visit. Only 2.5 miles away lies the seaside resort of Benllech, which has a beautiful long and sandy beach, much favoured by families, whilst Red Wharf Bay offers miles of sand, with scenic strolls to be enjoyed. Needs a lot of refurbishment

All I can say is be careful when booking the property. The photos look nice, however dirty, mold around windows, sand in the hot tub and the bathroom was disgusting. We report all the problems to Sykes and they referred them to the owner. We provided videos and still they dismissed every one. They live on site, so felt very uncomfortable when we found so many problems. I would not recommend this cottage.

Lovely cottage, wonderful owners

We booked in to stay a week here but only ended up needing 5 nights due to visiting family at the end of our stay. The location is lovely and the beach at Benllech is gorgeous. I would recommend having a car for the stay as it’s very rural and a little isolated with most amenities a 5-10min drive away. The cottage is perfect is you have a toddler and the owners did a super job with stair gates, a cot and a high chair. Our 2 year old loved the chickens outside and the owner even had some old garden toys for her to play with. On arrival there was tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and fairy liquid- enough to get you through the night incase the shops are shut when you arrive. I would definitely recommend staying here - we truly enjoyed our stay and if ever we’re back looking for a holiday in Wales, this is where we would come straight back to.

Comfy stay

We stayed here for 3 nights in June. Pros are the cottage is in a good secure location, very comfy and clean. Good WiFi connection. Chickens roaming free which is quite nice (very friendly) and the owners had left us fairy liquid, milk, tea, coffee etc which was a lovely touch. They also sell their chickens eggs at the front of the property! Beach and pub close by - beach is immaculate. Tasty fish and chip shop. I personally felt a little close to the owners as their house is literally next door and I usually like to be a bit further away but they didn’t make us feel unwelcome or as if we were being watched. Cons are the tele signal drops so you have to retune it every day, the hot tub is very clean but we weren’t able to get it cooler than 40 degrees the whole time so it was very hot in there (may have just been us not working it properly but we were pressing the correct button), the shower isn’t brilliant but does the job. Overall a nice stay, would stay again.

Bank holiday stay

Just back from a wonderful stay at this charming barn conversion. The owners have done a fabulous job giving this property everything you could need. The double bed is extremely comfortable, just what's needed after a day out in the countryside. The new hot tub outside is ideal for relaxing whilst star gazing on a clear night. The property is ideally situated to access the beautiful nearby beaches and walks. Highly recommended and we will return.
