Nicest hot tub holiday home we have ever stayed in

We were lucky enough to get a 2 night break at The Cart Barn. Wow, what an incredible place. When we arrived the owners Deb and Shane showed us around and pointed out everything we needed to know. They are quite rightly very proud of the amazing conversion they have completed. Everything has been done to such an incredibly high standard. The kitchen is well kitted out with decent size fridge, separate freezer, and a separate wine/drinks cooler. There is a large oven and 5 ring hob so easy to make meals for our family of 5. Dishwasher too, although there is plenty of cutlery and crockery, so we didn’t need to be constantly washing up. There is a double sofa bed in the front room, but we chose to put an inflatable air bed in the twin so our 3 boys could share and there was still plenty of room for them, the bedrooms are both a really good size. Lots of wardrobe and chest of drawer space in each of the bedrooms and the boys particularly loved having a TV in their room. Both bathrooms are beautifully done, the showers were amazing. Although I don’t ever use the washing machine when I’m away, it is useful to have the tumble dryer to dry off towels in between hot tub visits (there were lots). The outside spaces are just as good as the inside, the balcony from the front room has a lovely rattan sofa and we sat out every evening, going into the log fire when it got chilly. There is a large outdoor table and chairs on the patio leading from the main bedroom. The hot tub was lovely and a real hit with our boys who spent a significant amount of time in it over the couple of days we were there. We have been to several hot tub holiday homes, and I always take things like tea towels, dishcloths, extra bin bags etc as so many places don’t provide these. That was not the case here. Apart from our food we needn’t have taken a thing. This was by far the nicest place we have stayed.
