Absolutely lovely little cottage and perfect to get away from it all, but central to many other great areas all within an hour.
Lovely cottage, very clean and tidy. Hand sanitiser on entry. We had an issue with hot water but owner was very efficient and got it resolved and checked all was well next day. The scenery is stunning with plenty of walking opportunities. Hot tub superb especially after long walks. Compliance form to sign for hot tub and owner checked it each day which was reassuring. WiFi although ok for first two days , we lost internet from 4 pm till late in evening for the rest of holiday which was a problem when planning our days activities. There is a range for cooking so if not used to one maybe a challenge but fine for us. You can not get BBC1 on TV. We had an amazing time despite these minor niggles. Richmond, Barnard Castle worth a visit and it is a great area to see the stunning area of Yorkshire. Thank you for a great holiday.
Beautiful cottage in a quite area but only 10 min to Barnard Castle The cottage was very clean and had everything required We walked many of the routes nearby covering 75 miles in the week Would definitely book again
Beautiful and cosy cottage.
Had a wonderful time at the cottage, wonderful and quiet, very comfortable and the hot tub is amazing. Any issues were quickly resolved and we truly enjoyed our stay.
We had a wonderful time for a Christmas break. Helen the host could not be more accommodating and super helpful. Will definitely return.
A lovely cottage, very comfortably furnished and in a beautiful location. The weather was cold while we were there so the Rayburn, which was on all the time, was wonderfully cosy. We quite quickly mastered how to cook with it, but as the only other way of cooking anything is a microwave I think it must be very hot indoors in the summer if cooking on it. Wifi was slow, and dropped out completely at times, which we found the only real frustration.
We had a great time at Wilson Cottage. A very quiet, rural location with lots of walking and cycling on the doorstep. The cottage is only a 5 minute drive to Barnard Castle and a mile to the local store and pub. The cottage was great and the owner was very helpful. The wifi was slow but it didn't make much difference to us but worth thinking about if you need it. Also, the cottage is on a working farm so if you don't like the smell of the farmyard, you might want to consider somewhere else.
The cottage was exactly how it was described in the write up. It had everything you needed. The hot tub was very good and private. There is alot to do in the local area, would definitely return
A delightful and very well equipped cottage in a great setting. Unfortunately the internet connection was non existent the whole time despite being mentioned. We understand it can be very intermittent and should not be relied on. Pity the beds are not a bit wider- 5ft would fit and provide a bit more room. Otherwise everything was as promised but the outdoor siting area and hot tub could do with some cover from the sun,
Lovely cosy cottage in excellent location. Everything you need for a good country holiday.cooking on the Rayburn cooker was fun. Hot tub was kept in excellent condition. Would recommend to anyone wanting a lovely peaceful holiday
We really enjoyed our time there. The only issue is the WiFi not being available (this is mentioned in other reviews and is due to local infrastructure) so people who are booking ought to be aware of that. However, it's a great cottage in a beautiful part of the world!
