All the facilities of Bowness-on-Windermere are a short drive or a good walk from the Oaks, including a wide range of attractions for all ages, ranging from Peter Rabbit to hand-made chocolate shop and the wonderful walks along the Bowness promenade where the many cruise ships run down the lake to Ambleside and Newby Bridge. Discover picturesque local walks along footpaths bordering the site, including the Dales Way which runs by the Golf Club and Crook and Staveley and for the more adventurous walks across to Cartmel Fell.
