Loved it beautiful setting, immaculately clean just what we wanted. So quiet with a lovely secluded enclosed garden so no worries about the dogs. Dawn the owner lives next door and was so helpful but very discreet. Would definitely recommend
Loved it! Just a nice place to get away!
We loved staying at The Stables and hope to go back next year. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and had everything we needed. In these Covid-19 times, there was sanitiser provided just outside the front door and also inside the house. The owners welcomed us on arrival and were available should we wish to know anything. We had a supermarket delivery on our first evening there. The garden is very sunny and sun loungers available in the shed. The hot tub was super and the lovely grounds around the Stables are available to enjoy walking away from the traffic of roads. There is a small supermarket in Botesdale which is not far by car and a small local farm shop where we were given wonderful service. A wonderful place in the peace and calm of the countryside.
Perfect for that get away from it all. Very , very clean and comfortable. Lovely touch by the owners who left us a bottle of wine On arrival. So cosy, even before we lit the log fire.珞
A peaceful location. Cosy, clean, comfortable cottage. Excellent hot tub. Botesdale village 5 minutes drive away with 2 lovely eateries, chip-shop and chinese takeaway. Our dog loved the enclosed garden and ample space in the grounds for walks. Highly recomnended as an excellent base for touring the beautiful villages of Suffolk and beyond.
We had a fantastic time at the Old Stables. Such a lovely cosy place to stay. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and will definitely be booking another visit.
Had a lovely relaxing break at the old stables. The cottage was beautiful and very clean. Thankyou to Bonnie who was brilliant. We will definitely return.
Had such a lovely time with the family. Very child friendly and overall was a lovely place to stay we had a great time and will definitely be returning.
Had same week booked last year & delayed due to covid but so glad we continued- well needed & loved the stay.
The cottage was beautiful and the equipment available in the kitchen was really well thought out . The hot tub was nice but the pillows inside it were a bit marked with mould they could do with being replaced. The only thing that let this cottage down were the beds and pillows I didn't sleep very well for the 4 nights we were there due to the beds being so uncomfortable both of us had really bad backs after lying on them such a shame the pillows were like bullets as well. The location is fantastic so peaceful the grounds are really looked after and diss and the surrounding villages are so pretty flowers in the hedge rows and quaint little villages . We enjoyed our stay In the cottage it had a real homely feel but the beds really let it down.
Peaceful retreat. Lovely owners.
We had a wonderful week at The Old Stables. Dawn and Bonnie were extremely welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be returning.
The cottage was amazing - an upgrade of tv would be the only criticism - Dawn and Roy were very helpful and friendly - Roy even cleaned my car! The garden and hot tub were in excellent condition and completely dog safe. We found many lovely walks to take the dogs on and local pubs to eat. We would definitely return.
We had a wonderful stay, the cottage is very well equipped with everything you’ll need, the red wine was a lovely touch! Spotlessly clean, the hot tub was checked daily too - would love to com back
