Pentre Bach is the home of the well known Welsh children’s character ’Sali Mali’ and her friends, and this is where the TV series and books are based. The four cottages have been awarded 4 and 5 stars and they may be booked individually or together.
The area itself has lots to offer, including fantastic walks around the nearby Cambrian Mountains and Cors Caron Nature Reserve, which offer breathtaking views across the magnificent scenery, where buzzards and red kites soar high. The area is considered as a natural playground for ramblers, mountain bikers and climbers alike, with lots of Iron Age settlements dotted around the county. Away from the countryside, Ceredigion’s coast is just as promising, where the picturesque harbour towns of New Quay and Aberaeron offer irresistible restaurants, boutique shopping and unblemished beaches, where bottlenose dolphins and seals may be seen on a clear day!
Pentre Bach is close to the coastal path and beaches of Cardigan Bay. Beach 5 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Ty Nicw can be booked together with Caffi Sali (UK31022), Ty Pili-Pala (UK6751) and Ty Shoni (W42764) to accommodate up to 21 guests. Read More
Had a gorgeous holiday. The cottage was lovely set in a beautiful location. Only downside was sofas in lounge were a bit hard but other then that it’s a beautiful place and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Amazing cottage! Such a lovely location with wonderful walking trails nearby. WiFi was a bit on and off and no signal so was difficult at some points to check in on work arrangements ie emails etc. Overall would 10/10 recommend and would go back 🙂
Lovely cottage, clean spacious and relaxing quiet atmosphere, we were left alone all weekend and had a nice hot tub out of the way with privacy overlooking gardens.
Lovely location. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The WiFi wasn't half as bad as described in other reviews. It works in the master bedroom and the rooms upstairs. My son loved the hot tub, even in the cold it stayed lovely and warm.
We had a brilliant long weekend here and are already planning to go back. Host Gwion was amazing and the setting and the cottage itself were both perfect!
We had a lovely break with our two girls, will definitely be going back.
Amazing cottage. Great facilities and location. Only downside was the wifi/signal isn’t great but makes it even nicer to be ‘away from normal life’ for a couple of days
Holiday cottage and owners were amazing. Would definitely go there again. Good place for family getaway or couple relaxation.
We loved it here , it was a much needed break !! The cottage is homely and comfortable, the only thing we thought it lacked was a shop with basics in nearby but loved the overall stay .
We booked our holiday to Pentre Bach after our holiday abroad got cancelled because of Covid. When I saw the advert for the cottage it was exactly what we wanted, it looked clean, cozy, secluded and it had a hot tub (firm favourite with my children). Plus we could bring our 2 dogs with us which is another good thing. It took us a while to get there due to being diverted but once there we were welcomed with a warm, clean and beautiful cottage. The information book contained all the details and information we needed and we were very happy with our choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Welsh countryside and would definitely come back. Thank you to Sara and Gwion for your hospitality.
Our holiday was delayed by 12months due to covid but was well worth the wait. Our host was friendly and helpful. The cottage was large and all the equipment was first class. It is a little isolated and some of the local attractions had still not reopened yet due to the pandemic but that was no fault of the owners. The wifi was a bit weak in the cottage but better in the carpark. The hot tub was a great hit with the adults after the children were in bed. Very relaxing and enjoyable holiday
Amazing place in a wonderful location. Would go back anytime 🙂
Absolutely beautiful cottage surrounded by stunning views. More remote than we expected but that just added to the experience. The cottage is a good size with ample room for everyone and was child friendly for our 2 year old. The owners were friendly and very welcoming but not imposing. We are already looking to rebook.
Had a superb stay at Ty Nicw. This is our second visit and will definitely be back again in the near future. We love the location, very peaceful; and in close reach of the lovely coastal towns of Aberaeron and New Quay. Borth Beath is also a 45min drive and is a lovely spot for a beach day. Gwion is extremely friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Hot Tub is amazing. Everything you need to get away from it all and enjoy a relax with the kids and dogs; love the place!!
We had a fantastic time at Ty Nicw! Our host was great and very welcoming! The hot tub was amazing and really made our girls trip that extra bit special! Would definitely come back! Thank you Gwion, Mel, Sheryll, Sarah, Louise, Margie & Jane
