Lodges are far too close together, so you can hear and see absolutely everything. Beds are rock hard and the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in with plastic mattress protectors rustling every time you moved! Duvet cover didn’t even cover the duvet too short! There are notices about fines for noise, having BBQs and even if the water is too low in the hot tub. I have stayed in many lodges but this is the first time I thought I would never want to return.

The Lodge was very nice and comfortable. The hot tub was great as well. There were two small frustrations as follows: (1) This property is advertised with "Free WiFi". The quality of the WiFi is the worse I have experienced in the last few years. Doing anything takes time and based on a few speed tests, it never gets above 1mb/s - this is poor. Further, a notice board in the lodge stated something along the lines of "The WifI is free so you cannot stream or download". The statement made was plain stupid. It is 2021 (!), that is the purpose of free WiFi. I suggest management sorts out the quality of the WiFi so people can stream and use the WiFi properly. Or if not possible (appreciate Open Reach still need to get good quality WiFi to certain areas) do not advertise that their is WiFi then people know what to expect when they get there (as its as good as no WiFi). (2) Not sure if it is the septic tank used on site, but the toilets had a distinct smell about them. This needs sorting somehow, as the smell was not good.

Beautiful lodges made extra special with by the hot tub addition. Location is good for access to surrounding area and lots to keep you busy. A car is essential however as with the exception of a gorgeous garden centre there are no paths to any other facility/town. A private park where you enjoy time away as a group/family.

Advertised a washing machine but didn't have one in cabin

The site was amazingly peaceful and quiet and they would recommend this place for a romantic weekend or even to celebrate a special anniversary

Excellent Lodges.

Great modern lodge. A few minor things which would be easy to provide. No toilet roll holders in the bathrooms Nowhere to hang your coats. Hooks in the corridor would be an easy solution. The lodge was advertised with a washing machine. There wasn’t one!
