One of the great things about holidays is the fact you don’t have a ‘schedule’ and are free to do as you please. Saying that, in the name of fun and to help you picture the scene, we’ve put together what your typical day could look like:
A Romantic Day On Your Lodge Break
As romantic break ideas go, a lodge with a private hot tub is a great one.
More and more couples are booking up for a weekend break where they can enjoy luxury accommodation without breaking the bank.

11am - Enjoying breakfast while admiring the views
12pm - Head out to see what the local area has to offer
5pm - Back at the lodge and it's bbq time. Al fresco dining with a glass of wine
7pm - Could you wait until the evening before heading into the tub? Cozy up with your partner in the hot tub as night time falls in
9pm - All relaxed and rejuvenated it's time to swap the hot tub for the sofa and settle down for a movie before bed
A Day Away On Your Family Break
A large lodge holiday is a great way to spend quality time with all the family...including the dog!
A home away from home where there are new and exciting places to see and things to do right on your doorstep.
8am - Fuel up for the day with a big breakfast
9am - Take a look at the 'what is there to do' leaflets and decide where it is you're going for the day
10am - Head off out to the local attractions - which could be a theme park, zoo, water park, museum...the list is endless
4pm - Back to the lodge because the kids (and big kids) want to head into the hot tub
6pm - Enjoy a family meal on the outside decking, as Dad, no doubt burns the sausages on the bbq
8pm - Sit round the table and enjoy a board game before the kids' bedtime
9pm - With the children tucked up in bed it's now time for mum and dad to put a film on and to relax

Our aim at hottubholiday.co.uk is to make finding your ideal hot tub lodge break as straightforward as possible. The lodges and log cabins we proudly feature are sourced from a wide range of reputable and popular holiday providers as well as from small, long standing, independently run family businesses – giving you a great selection to choose from.
Each property offers something different. There are single, isolated lodges in secluded locations right through to sites where multiple holiday homes can be found. It just depends on what you want from your holiday. With the isolated accommodation, this is more suited to someone who is looking for a peaceful and quiet break and the lodge park lets may be more suited to families with young children as often, there are facilities on site or close by for them to enjoy and make full use of.
A lot of people when booking a break away at a lodge want to take their pet dog. Rest assured if this is you then you can most definitely take you four legged friend with you as there’s a great choice of pet friendly lodges to pick from. Similarly if you’re a fishing enthusiast then you can bring all your fishing gear with you as lots of accommodations have on-site fishing or failing that are within driving distance of a fishing lake, pond or the sea.

Lift the roof and this is what many luxury lodges are like…king sized beds, cozy lounge, decking and a private hot tub…
If you’ve yet to holiday in a lodge, then just by taking a look at a floorplan like the one above, you can gain a really good insight into what awaits you. In the UK the majority of lodges are on one level and have some outside space and / or decking area. If you’d prefer your let to be on two levels a holiday cottage or a log cabin may be a better choice if there aren’t any suitable lodges.
A romantic short break for 3 nights or a full 2 week holiday – you can tailor your hot tub lodge treat around your and your needs.
Holiday lodges and log cabins that have a hot tub / jacuzzi add that extra something to your break away. How about returning to your remote lodge accommodation in the country after an enjoyable day taking in the local surroundings, eating your barbecued evening meal on the verandah then taking a dip into the bubbling water of your outdoor private hot tub…?
To help you book your perfect hot tub lodge, we’ve put together answers to some questions which you may have.
There are lodges which allow you to stay for only one night.
To find lodge stays for one night, using our accommodation find above. Simply select your 'Start Date' and then select '1' for nights. Your results will appear and then you can check the lodges which show a price should be available to book for a single night.
There aren’t many places which offer their lodge to rent for a single night. You can have a search and see if something suitable is available for you and your dates.
Something Further To Think About
Usually, 1 night stays are quite expensive when comparing to the nightly cost for a 3, 4 or 7 night break. Main reason for this is staying for only 1 night means the owners have to have the lodge cleaned the same as they do for a longer stays.
Something else to consider is the check in / check out time. When staying for a sole night, by the time you can check in and the time you need to leave the next day, you may only have 17 - 20 hours at the lodge. For example, a typical check in time is 4pm and typical check out time is 11am.
Tip: With the high cost of one night stays and check out times, you could try looking at the prices for 2 nights as it might not be much more expensive. If you do choose this option, then on day '2' it will give you more flexibility on when you leave. If you did do it this way it would allow you to relax and enjoy longer at the lodge or venture out without needing to pack up first.
As you'll probably be aware many lodges up and down the UK allow pets. Lodge owners and holiday companies know us Brits love our dogs, and in many cases want to take them with us and there is no difference with a lodge which has a hot tub - many of these allow pets.
Not only do they allow pets, but many are 'pet friendly' and you'll find things like an outdoor tap, a dog bed and even a few toys for your pooch to play with. If you need an enclosed / secure garden, be sure to check the listing thoroughly before booking.
Finding a pet friendly hot tub lodge with us is simple. Using our accommodation finder, go into the filter and under the ‘Features’ section and select 'Pets - Allowed' then refresh the results. Now you'll see hot tub lodges suitable for bringing your dog with you.
Whilst there are many people who do want to take their dog on a lodge holiday with them, we know there are also people who would prefer a lodge which does not accept dogs. If you’re reading this then it’s likely you would rather holiday somewhere a dog hasn’t…
It could be for many reasons. Ranging from allergies through to cleaning every single dog hair from previous visitors can be very difficult and many people would not like to find a stray hair or two on the floor.
The good news is many holiday lodge owners know some people do not want to holiday at a place where dogs stay and do specify 'no pets allowed'
To find these pet free places is easy - use our search facility you head into the filters and the ‘Featured’ part. Select 'Pets - Not allowed' and search. These lodges which are returned to you have hot tubs and do not allow pets to stay.
Short drive, even walking distance or perhaps a sea view from your lodge is what you and many people look for when booking up.
With the UK having so much coastline and our fondness to be by the ‘seaside’, there are many lodges by the coast which also have hot tubs.
Viewing only these coastal hot tub lodges is really simple and takes a couple of clicks or taps. Scroll up to our ‘Features’ section in the filters and here you’ll see several options. Simply check the one which says ‘Sea View’ and search. Here you’ll be shown only the lodges with sea views. These lodges will likely be quite expensive and for many people that is fine as we all know a sea view is desirable.
Perhaps you are ok without a sea view but would like a lodge which is close to the sea? If this is you, then from the filter menu select ‘Close To Coast’ which is in the ‘Featured’ options and hit search. Your results will include hot tub lodges which are close to the coast.
Access to data is usually no problem in the city and surrounding area - using our mobiles or tethering a laptop over we don’t give a second though to.
However, if you’re booking a lodge which is in the countryside then the chances of a reliable mobile data could be next to zero.
Having a reliable and fast connection can be very important to many people and for many reasons. Such as flexible and remote working many of us are taking our laptops / tablets with us on their lodge break through to the leisurely reason of making sure streaming TV shows is going to be ok to do.
Deciding to book a lodge which has Wi-Fi means not needing to ‘chance it’ with mobile data. There are many hot tub lodges which have dedicated internet through Wi-Fi and on this page, in a few seconds you can view only these lodges which meet this criteria.
Scroll up to our search area and view the featured section in the filter. Here we have a filter for Wi-Fi. Select it and refresh the results then take your pick.
Note: As we all know technology can be temperamental and even more so in remote areas and for many reasons and without notice routers / access can also be removed. Whilst the spec and details in the listings should be updated to reflect the latest specification and amenities, if the internet is crucial to you, rather than a added bonus then just ensure that Wi-Fi is present and working. You can contact the holiday company or perhaps reading the latest reviews where it is likely to be mentioned if the Wi-Fi was not present, working or fast.
There’s a reason almost 90% of lodges which have hot tubs have private hot tubs…it’s because most of us staying at a lodge want our own. We would like it outside our own lodge for our sole use and we don’t want to share or think about usage times.
Booking a lodge and then arriving only to learn that it is in fact a shared hot tub can spoil may people’s lodge getaway. To make sure this doesn’t happen to you, we have added a filter to show you only lodges which have their own private hot tub - for you and your guests only.
To find these, scroll up to our filter. In the filter there is a section for ‘Hot Tub’. Here you can see different aspect to do with the hot tub. Click in the ‘Your Own Private Hot Tub?’ and, yep, select ‘Yes, Show Only Private’. Click the button to update the results and now in front of you are hot tub lodges with private hot tubs.
A break at a hot tub lodge is pretty nice…most would say it’s treat and a lovely way to spend time. What could be better is, if whilst relaxing in the hot, bubbly water is a beautiful view to admire.
There is now no need to trawl through endless lodges looking for one which as a stunning view from the hot tub. We’ve done it for you. All you need to do is apply a filter and we’ll show you these in seconds. Head up to our filter and in the ‘Hot Tub’ section you will see ‘With a View’.
Your options are ‘Excellent View’, ‘Very Good ‘View’ and ‘Don’t Mind’. To see these lodges where you can enjoy a view from the hot tub. click on the either excellent for truly stunning views or very good. You’ll be shown many places where you will only take your eyes away from the view to take a photo! Enjoy the view and send us in some of those pictures!
Getting wet from the hot bubbling water is one thing but getting wet from the great British weather is another thing. If you’d rather keep sheltered in case some rain comes along then a covered hot tub will suit. It can also shelter you from the wind and add some privacy element, too.
Approximately 20% of hot tub lodges have an ‘undercover’ hot tub. Finding them isn’t difficult but can be time consuming. We’ve now made it so it takes you just a few seconds – to find lodges which have covered hot tubs simply head to our filter section. Here you can delve into the ‘Hot Tub’ specific filter and tick ‘Undercover’ and search.
You’ll be presented with only lodges where the hot tub is sheltered with a roof or similar.
Simple answer is yes! You can easily and quickly view lodges which have sunken hot tubs here on hottubholiday.co.uk.
Whilst there are not that many lodges with sunken hot tubs, the good news is there are still many which do. You no longer have to look through each accommodation and check to see if the tub is sunken or not.
On this page is a search filter and in there is a ‘Hot Tub section. Select the option ‘Sunken’ and as you can, well, predict…checking this and updating the results will give you exactly what you want – sunken hot tubs at lodges throughout the UK.
Sunken hot tubs have something extra cool and special…and make for great pictures.
You and many others are interested in booking up a lodge with a wood fired hot tub. Different in many ways to a traditional electric hot tub, there is a new experience to be had.
I’m sure you are aware they are differences in how you use the wood fired tub compared to an electric. The main difference being that you need to heat the wood fired tub before each use.
Use the ‘Hot Tub’ filter section which is found further up this page. Select ‘Wood Fired’ under ‘Type’. Click search and now you can choose from only lodges which have woodfired hot tubs.
There sure are.
Typically large hot tubs will be at accommodations which sleep many people – so we’re talking 12+. When you’re away with your large group of friends or a family get together, booking a place with a big hot tub means at least quite a few people can be in at the same time.
Large hot tubs which seat 6, 7, 8+ are not at many lodges. We have some. To find these scroll up to our filter and in the ‘Hot Tub’ section under ‘Large Hot Tub’ you can pick your size. If then you want to order the results by size of the hot tub you can apply the sort by ‘Hot Tub: Largest’.
Tip: If you need a very large hot tub, something that will seat 8, 9 10+ or even a swim spa then you may need to search all property types and not just lodges. Many cottages and barns have larger hot tubs in comparison to lodges, as these properties tend to be larger and more suited as group accommodation.
Your best friend’s big day is approaching and now it’s over to you to make the arrangement and co-ordinate the stag or hen party…not always easy!
Many properties, and I’m sure you can understand why, do not allow their lodges to be booked for a group of hens or stags.
To find hot tub lodges for a hen party or a stag do the easiest way is to select the number of guest, and if you are restricted to certain dates, input the dates. View the results and in each properties’ details you will be able to read if the lodge allows stag and / or hen gatherings.
Tip: Instead of reading all the writing for each property – on mobile you can click the browser features / settings then use the ‘Find on page’ and add the word stag or hen. If the word appears on the page you can jump to it and read what the property has to say. Sometimes it can be an additional deposit is required or it is a clear ‘not allowed’ for your to be stag or hen do.
Also, by doing this search at certain places they will be very happy to accept stag and hen dos and in fact, will give some information on what to book to enhance the stay. This can be things such as a private chef to cook for your entire party through to a beauty therapist visiting to carry out some treatments in the comfort of your lodge.
Finding these stag and hen friendly lodges shouldn’t take too long. There are not many lodges which sleep over 8 people, which is usually searched for a group gathering.
Are you thinking you’ll take a dip in the hot tub whilst your better half goes and does a spot of fishing…well if you are then you’re in luck as we have some hot tub lodges with on site fishing (or fishing close by). Typical fishing is for carps – ponds on site or lakes and canals near by.
Of course, once your partner returns from fishing, I’m sure they can tell you all about the huge fish they caught so easily!
There’s no need to look through each hot tub lodge and read whether there is fishing. We have a filter which you can simply click, update the results and the hard work is done for you. Then you have suitable lodges with hot tubs with fishing to look at.
If you only want fishing on site then you will need to find your favourite accommodations from the results and take a read to check the location of the fishing.

Watch the flames flicker and listen to the cracking from the wood as you are put into short moment of trance whilst wondering if it is possible to be any more relaxed…

Enjoying a new place can great fun and so can trying a new pub!
When on your getaway of course popping into the local for a couple of drinks and a meal can be a nice experience…especially as it means a night off from the kitchen!
Many lodges can be in a remote setting or just not close to a pub. To make it simple for finding a hot tub lodge which is close to a pub we have added in a ‘Pub Close By’ filter. Close to the top of this page you will find it in the ‘Features’ section on the filter – tick it and update your search.
From here you’ll see some great lodges all with a pub nearby – nearby means a short walk or a short drive. If you’re wanting a pub on your ‘doorstep’ or definitely within walking distance then pick your favourite accommodations from the ones available, read through the description for that property to see just how close the pub is or refer to a map.
Tip: As with many features / amenities and places close by things can change. If a pub is absolutely vital then once you’ve found your lodge, you can head over to Google maps and take a look at the location to see if the pub is still there and open on the days you are planning to go.
