A Look Inside A Lodge

Lift the roof and this is what many luxury lodges are like…king sized beds, cozy lounge, decking and a private hot tub…

Drawing showing the layout and floor plan of a typical lodge

If you’ve yet to holiday in a lodge, then just by taking a look at a floorplan like the one above, you can gain a really good insight into what awaits you. In the UK the majority of lodges are on one level and have some outside space and / or decking area. If you’d prefer your let to be on two levels a holiday cottage or a log cabin may be a better choice if there aren’t any suitable lodges.

A romantic short break for 3 nights or a full 2 week holiday – you can tailor your hot tub lodge treat around your and your needs.

Holiday lodges and log cabins that have a hot tub / jacuzzi add that extra something to your break away. How about returning to your remote lodge accommodation in the country after an enjoyable day taking in the local surroundings, eating your barbecued evening meal on the verandah then taking a dip into the bubbling water of your outdoor private hot tub…?

Info, Questons & Answers

To help you book your perfect hot tub lodge, we’ve put together answers to some questions which you may have.

  • Can I Book A Lodge For Only One Night?

There are lodges which allow you to stay for only one night.

To find lodge stays for one night, using our accommodation find above. Simply select your 'Start Date' and then select '1' for nights. Your results will appear and then you can check the lodges which show a price should be available to book for a single night.

There aren’t many places which offer their lodge to rent for a single night. You can have a search and see if something suitable is available for you and your dates.

    Something Further To Think About

Usually, 1 night stays are quite expensive when comparing to the nightly cost for a 3, 4 or 7 night break. Main reason for this is staying for only 1 night means the owners have to have the lodge cleaned the same as they do for a longer stays.

Something else to consider is the check in / check out time. When staying for a sole night, by the time you can check in and the time you need to leave the next day, you may only have 17 - 20 hours at the lodge. For example, a typical check in time is 4pm and typical check out time is 11am.

Tip: With the high cost of one night stays and check out times, you could try looking at the prices for 2 nights as it might not be much more expensive. If you do choose this option, then on day '2' it will give you more flexibility on when you leave. If you did do it this way it would allow you to relax and enjoy longer at the lodge or venture out without needing to pack up first.

  • I'm Looking For A Hot Tub Lodge Which Allows Dogs

As you'll probably be aware many lodges up and down the UK allow pets. Lodge owners and holiday companies know us Brits love our dogs, and in many cases want to take them with us and there is no difference with a lodge which has a hot tub - many of these allow pets.

Not only do they allow pets, but many are 'pet friendly' and you'll find things like an outdoor tap, a dog bed and even a few toys for your pooch to play with. If you need an enclosed / secure garden, be sure to check the listing thoroughly before booking.

Finding a pet friendly hot tub lodge with us is simple. Using our accommodation finder, go into the filter and under the ‘Features’ section and select 'Pets - Allowed' then refresh the results. Now you'll see hot tub lodges suitable for bringing your dog with you.

  • I Would Like To Book A Hot Tub Lodge Which Does Not Allow Pets

Whilst there are many people who do want to take their dog on a lodge holiday with them, we know there are also people who would prefer a lodge which does not accept dogs. If you’re reading this then it’s likely you would rather holiday somewhere a dog hasn’t…

It could be for many reasons. Ranging from allergies through to cleaning every single dog hair from previous visitors can be very difficult and many people would not like to find a stray hair or two on the floor.

The good news is many holiday lodge owners know some people do not want to holiday at a place where dogs stay and do specify 'no pets allowed'

To find these pet free places is easy - use our search facility you head into the filters and the ‘Featured’ part. Select 'Pets - Not allowed' and search. These lodges which are returned to you have hot tubs and do not allow pets to stay.

  • Searching For Lodges Close To The Sea / With A Sea View?

Short drive, even walking distance or perhaps a sea view from your lodge is what you and many people look for when booking up.

With the UK having so much coastline and our fondness to be by the ‘seaside’, there are many lodges by the coast which also have hot tubs.

Viewing only these coastal hot tub lodges is really simple and takes a couple of clicks or taps. Scroll up to our ‘Features’ section in the filters and here you’ll see several options. Simply check the one which says ‘Sea View’ and search. Here you’ll be shown only the lodges with sea views. These lodges will likely be quite expensive and for many people that is fine as we all know a sea view is desirable.

Perhaps you are ok without a sea view but would like a lodge which is close to the sea? If this is you, then from the filter menu select ‘Close To Coast’ which is in the ‘Featured’ options and hit search. Your results will include hot tub lodges which are close to the coast.

  • Need A Lodge With Wi-Fi?

Access to data is usually no problem in the city and surrounding area - using our mobiles or tethering a laptop over we don’t give a second though to.

However, if you’re booking a lodge which is in the countryside then the chances of a reliable mobile data could be next to zero.

Having a reliable and fast connection can be very important to many people and for many reasons. Such as flexible and remote working many of us are taking our laptops / tablets with us on their lodge break through to the leisurely reason of making sure streaming TV shows is going to be ok to do.

Deciding to book a lodge which has Wi-Fi means not needing to ‘chance it’ with mobile data. There are many hot tub lodges which have dedicated internet through Wi-Fi and on this page, in a few seconds you can view only these lodges which meet this criteria.

Scroll up to our search area and view the featured section in the filter. Here we have a filter for Wi-Fi. Select it and refresh the results then take your pick.

Note: As we all know technology can be temperamental and even more so in remote areas and for many reasons and without notice routers / access can also be removed. Whilst the spec and details in the listings should be updated to reflect the latest specification and amenities, if the internet is crucial to you, rather than a added bonus then just ensure that Wi-Fi is present and working. You can contact the holiday company or perhaps reading the latest reviews where it is likely to be mentioned if the Wi-Fi was not present, working or fast.

  • I Would Like My Own Private Hot Tub

There’s a reason almost 90% of lodges which have hot tubs have private hot tubs…it’s because most of us staying at a lodge want our own. We would like it outside our own lodge for our sole use and we don’t want to share or think about usage times.

Booking a lodge and then arriving only to learn that it is in fact a shared hot tub can spoil may people’s lodge getaway. To make sure this doesn’t happen to you, we have added a filter to show you only lodges which have their own private hot tub - for you and your guests only.

To find these, scroll up to our filter. In the filter there is a section for ‘Hot Tub’. Here you can see different aspect to do with the hot tub. Click in the ‘Your Own Private Hot Tub?’ and, yep, select ‘Yes, Show Only Private’. Click the button to update the results and now in front of you are hot tub lodges with private hot tubs.

  • I’d Like A Hot Tub Which Is Covered

Getting wet from the hot bubbling water is one thing but getting wet from the great British weather is another thing. If you’d rather keep sheltered in case some rain comes along then a covered hot tub will suit. It can also shelter you from the wind and add some privacy element, too.

Approximately 20% of hot tub lodges have an ‘undercover’ hot tub. Finding them isn’t difficult but can be time consuming. We’ve now made it so it takes you just a few seconds – to find lodges which have covered hot tubs simply head to our filter section. Here you can delve into the ‘Hot Tub’ specific filter and tick ‘Undercover’ and search.

Simple answer is yes! You can easily and quickly view lodges which have sunken hot tubs here on hottubholiday.co.uk.

Whilst there are not that many lodges with sunken hot tubs, the good news is there are still many which do. You no longer have to look through each accommodation and check to see if the tub is sunken or not.

Tip: Instead of reading all the writing for each property – on mobile you can click the browser features / settings then use the ‘Find on page’ and add the word stag or hen. If the word appears on the page you can jump to it and read what the property has to say. Sometimes it can be an additional deposit is required or it is a clear ‘not allowed’ for your to be stag or hen do.

Also, by doing this search at certain places they will be very happy to accept stag and hen dos and in fact, will give some information on what to book to enhance the stay. This can be things such as a private chef to cook for your entire party through to a beauty therapist visiting to carry out some treatments in the comfort of your lodge.
