Your Cornish Holiday

Cornwall being a very well known and desirable holiday destination which attracts a wide variety of holiday makers each and every year. Lured in by the wild moors, charming towns and villages and of course not forgetting mile after mile of spectacular coastline.

Situated in South West England, Cornwall is the most southerly county in the UK. The county is made up of the mainland plus the Isles of Scilly, has a land border with west side of Devon and both the English Channel and Atlantic Ocean wash up onto the Cornish coast.

Due to its positioning at the tip of the south western peninsular together with the warm currents from the Gulf Stream, Cornwall offers the most sunshine combined with the mildest UK climate – great for a British based break.

  • Conwall's Popular Holiday Spots

Bordering Devon you would probably expect Cornwall to have some similar characteristics - this is indeed the case, particularly with the traits of Cornwall's northern shore in contrast to the southern shores. The Atlantic shores (northern) are more exposed to the elements which is partly why so many surfers from far and wide head to Cornwall's rugged and windswept coastline. The southern, English Channel coastal regions are calmer in nature in comparison.

    Northern Hotspots
    • Newquay - seaside resort whose 9 beaches, especially Fistral, attract thousands of surfers each year
    • St Ives - artistic seaside town situated closer to Penzance than Newquay
    • St Agnes - large village with plenty of country and coastal walks
    • Perranporth - popular family seaside resort which is close in location to Newquay

    Southern Locations
    • Falmouth - famous town which is well known for its port
    • Polperro - picturesque small fishing village
