The Hot Tub

A true home from home, one of the loveliest cottages we have stayed in. In a spectacular location with views of the beach and mountains. The property was supplied with everything you could need by the owners and the hot tub was a real bonus. Would love to go back.

Amazing holiday, we will definitely be back.

Excellent accommodation for our honeymoon. We spent a week relaxing, walking and sight-seeing in this location. The local community was very friendly. Enjoyed the hot tub!

The house was marvellous and the location was fantastic. Beautiful views from the windows. Quality furnishings, appliances and crockery etc. Everything we needed was already there! The hot tub with towels, robes and pool shoes was an added bonus. Beautiful beach walks minutes away. Friendly pub with cosy open fire overlooking the pier. Wonderful holiday to celebrate my husbands birthday.

This cottage contained everything and more a household could wish for. The fine details impressed me even down to the dogs bowls and leads. The view is stunning and the living room makes you feel you are sitting right in the middle of it. The cottage has an excellent energy and the proprietors are so lovely and friendly. I am planning to be back in the future, plus recommending this to my friends and family.

Gorgeous home with beautiful views. The owners were friendly and helpful on arrival. It is comfortable and has a great hot tub.

1 Ard Carraig is in an ideal setting overlooking the beautiful Ballymastocker Bay. It is a homely, well equipped holiday home and it was great to have the terrace with the hot tub and BBQ. We had a very warm welcome from the owner. Will certainly recommend it!

A beautiful comfortable property in a stunning location. It was ideal to visit places in the North and West of Ireland.

Beautiful surroundings, and a quiet, comfortable cottage. Parking was plentiful. In all, would highly recommend both the cottage and the area.

The house and facilities were fantastic, would highly recommend and will definitely book again. The village, surrounding area and outside space were absolutely stunning. The owners were lovely and met us at the house, they gave us a run down of all the facilities in the house and in the surrounding area. Thank You.

What we liked, is that the premises is pet friendly. The gardens are secure, and very spacious. The house itself is gorgeous with a fab view of the sea and mountains. The location is perfect for touring, and with all the amenities that you need at your doorstep. The beach and restaurants, shops and pub is just a stroll away. We loved it and will be back.

The house is amazing, loved every minute. The owners have obvious pride in this home, they were so helpful and warm in every aspect and we were sad leaving the home as that's what it was to us, a home. Not one complaint! Outstanding!

The house was very private with large enclosed garden for the dog. The owners were very friendly.

A fabulous cottage and facilities. We will definitely be back.

Loved its location, the style of the property, the views and the hot tub.

Absolutely everything about this holiday home was perfect! We have been holidaying as a family for 21 years and this was without doubt the most well equipped cottage we have stayed in. The hot tub was wonderful after a day at the beach. I cannot recommend this enough and we will be back next year!

The whole experience was superb! We were met at the property by the owners, who took us round and showed us everything in the cottage. The views and the area are absolutely outstanding and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property. I didn't realise what a stunning area the North of Donegal is! We will definitely be back, and will have no hesitation in booking this cottage again! Wish we were still there now!

The whole experience was terrific from start to finish. We had never been away for Christmas before and were slightly worried about our choice. We fell in Love with the property and the views which are great, everything we needed was there and our Host left a nice bottle of Cava and a box of Chocolates to enjoy. would go back in a Heartbeat!!!!

We were very impressed with standards and attention to detail given by the owners. Nothing was overlooked and they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was at a very high standard. The hot tub was amazing! We will definitely be returning and recommending the cottage to friends and family.

Could not believe how good the other reviews were

Having read the reviews on 1 Ard Carraig I thought , nothing can be that good.... How wrong I was! It is beautifully appointed the rooms airy and spotless. We tried to find something that was not in the Kitchen but failed miserably Every kitchen aid yon could wish for in in there. The beds are comfy and the rooms spacious. Wendy and Andrew have thought about their customers even leaving bath robes and beach shoes to enable you to get in and out of the superb hot tub in comfort, every sort of towel is available to you and spares are in the cupboard if needed. The welcome booklet is very informative and easy to follow for each of the appliances have been written so you can operate them quickly. I spent many an evening and early morning sat in the, what I called my reading nook, reading and watching the sun rise/set over Ballymastoker beach. The only let down with the holiday, which by no means affected 1 Ard Carraig was that the local Pub and Restaurant were closed for the season dispite us having checked beforehand that they would be open. This was a holiday chosen for us to relax from our hectic daily life style, 1 Ard Carraig fulfilled that criteria with ease and we will return

    Little piece of heaven ?

I spent a week in this amazing house. I had the most amazing stay....there is literally everything you could every want or need here. The views are breathtaking. The owners are absolutely lovely, even leaving me a bday card and gift This place is everything I wanted and more. Can't wait to my next visit

Luxurious stay with the added bonus of fantastic views.

Had a fabulous stay, with my family and 2 dogs, for a week in May, the bungalow is set in a stunning location, and the owners have thought of absolutely everything possible to make your stay 5 star+. The surrounding countryside is spectacular to say the least, we ate locally at the Golf club and Sarah's restaurant and weren't disappointed, we hope to make a booking here next year, and I was really sorry when our week there finished as I will miss my daily hot-tub dip.

Everything you need in a holiday

This is the second time we have visited this property and we have already planned our third visit. We had pets with us who just love the beach, being only a 5min walk before you are on the beach is just brilliant. The house has everything you need for an enjoyable, relaxed holiday with a warm cosy feeling. Highlights have to be the use of BBQ and hot tub while the dogs could play in the large enclosed garden. Shops close by with local fresh produce and a hidden lil gem of a seafood cafe just a short 10min drive to Kerrykeel. Amazing! Local pub and restaurant within walking distance, worthwhile to take a drive along the Wild Atlantic way and see the scenery. Give me a week at No.1 over a week in Spain anytime...thanks again for letting us stay and we look forward to our return next year.

Fantastic Home. Friendly Village. Fabulous Scenery

A week at 1 Ard Carraig is a week well spent! This lovely home provides stunning views of the beach and is within short walking distance of the nearby restaurant/bar, Sarah's, where you will find friendly staff and great food. The property has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday - personal highlights were the hot tub and BBQ. We spent many nights cooking and enjoying local produce from the Lennonside butchers and others walking over to the neighbouring village of Rosnakill for a great pint at the Country Road Bar and Inn - where they opened the bar solely for us turning up!! Fantastic home. Friendly village. Fabulous scenery. Can't wait to return. Thanks so much Wendy and Andrew!
