Providing access to the beautiful Cornish countryside is the amazing Camel Trail, a disused railway line running from Wenfordbridge, down to Bodmin and over to Padstow, perfect for cyclists and walkers alike, this 18-mile trail is around a mile from the lodge. Discover the fascinating Bodmin Jail Attraction for a fun afternoon out, with atmospheric exhibitions within this 18th century prison, even offering overnight ghost walks for the truly brave! More history can be discovered at Bodmin Town Museum and Bodmin Keep, whilst the array of caf├ęs and restaurants serve as a nice treat to indulge in after your exploring. The National Trust 19th century home, Lanhydrock, makes another delightful day out, wander around the scenic parkland with bike trails here and marvel at the fine interiors.
