Boasting unfettered views of the towering Berwyn Mountains is Bryn Teg, an exceptional single-storey property in one of the most breath-taking positions within Mid Wales, offering an outstanding self-catering experience, coupled with a charming interior design to ensure a heavenly retreat at any time of the year. Located within the village of Llangynog, you are just a short distance away from the Snowdonia National Park, the tallest waterfall in Wales, Pistyll Rhaeadr and the remote Lake Vyrnwy, perfect for romantics, families, avid ramblers and those alike to call home. Park up on the large forecourt and savour the views of the mountains before heading into the property, via the porch, where there is plenty of space to store your walking boots and hang your winter coats. Once inside, you are welcomed into the spacious kitchen/diner, where the windows affords a constant connection with the countryside beyond, whilst the chef of the group makes the most of the modern kitchen suite, containing a range of quality appliances for showing off culinary skills. The adjoining dining table is elegantly presented and is where you and your loved ones can delight in home-cooked dishes, a tipple or two and each other’s company at the end of each day. Slip through to the hallway and find yourself within the sitting room, boasting a charming country-style interior design, with a sumptuous seating arrangement inviting you to get cosy in front of the TV, with the woodburning stove filling the room with a gentle warmth and setting the ambiance. Take the far door out of the sitting room and emerge into the conservatory, where you can kick back to delve into a good book and where the mountain views continue to captivate. Return to the hallway to find the three bedrooms, the master suite notable for its plush king-size bed and good wardrobe storage, as well as the striking views to wake up to each morning. Bedroom two boasts a double bed and bedroom three offers a twin set up, both elegantly furnished with quality linens and good storage space, yet the pièce de résistance are the unrivalled views. Concluding the interior of the cottage is the sleek shower room, where Victorian-style tiles lie beneath a spacious walk-in shower, a contemporary vanity unit with mirror and WC. The garden at Bryn Teg has been designed to be an extension of the house itself, with 0.83 acres of land for you and your canine companions to explore, as well as a hot tub, perfectly positioned to savour the views and a games room to keep the younger guests of the group entertained! For the evenings where you do not feel like cooking, meander into the village centre where you will find a choice of two pubs serving food, or head into the nearby village of Pen-y-Bont Fawr to find a further pub and a shop. In Llangynog you can find the Revolution Mountain Bike Park and Mick Extance Off-road Experience. Be sure to make time to visit the beautiful landmark of Pistyll Rhaeadr, which is England and Wales’ highest single drop waterfall, where there are a network of paths to explore, as well as a café so that you can enjoy a cup of tea as you admire the enchanting waters. Lake Vyrnwy is also within striking distance, where you can explore the 24,000-acre RSPB Reserve, with viewpoints to catch a glimpse of the amazing variety of birds before venturing through the Sculpture Park below the Dam or trying your hand at one of the activities on offer, including boating, adventure activities, cycle hire, walking and horse trails.
