Llangynderyn 1.5 miles. Nestled in the Gwendraeth Fach Valley, between the villages of Llangynderyn and Llanddarog, this superb, semi-detached stone barn conversion is situated on the owners’ working sheep farm, in wonderful countryside, seven miles from Carmarthen in South Wales. This delightful Llangyndeyrn cottage has been beautifully presented by the owners, offering an ideal base for a couple or small family, with something for everyone to enjoy in this lovely area. Character features and modern furnishings work well together in this charming Llangyndeyrn cottage, and the owners have paid their respects to the famous Sir William Vaughan who lived here for a while before founding the area known as Cambriol (Little Wales) in Newfoundland, hence why they named the cottage Cambriol. Time together is so important and can be happily enjoyed while meals are prepared, cooked and eaten, along with time playing board games or watching TV in this superb living space. The oak stairs lead up to two charming bedrooms with oak-style floors and exquisite furnishings, with both offering bathroom facilities, so enjoy a relaxing soak in the bath, whilst looking out onto the excellent views. Also, the master bedroom is unique with its own small stairway leading to the bed. The property also benefits from a purpose built Hot Tub house where you can relax and enjoy the fantastic views across the valley no matter what the weather. Being fully enclosed with its own shower you can enjoy the Hot Tub during the coldest days in winter or can be opened up to enjoy the sun on the warmer days. Bath robes and towels provided. Depending on the time of year you stay, you will enjoy seeing sheep in the fields and maybe see a few lambs being born too, plus you may wish to wander around the farm and into woodland, or try a spot of river fishing. Location

Reviews

A beautiful quiet location with stunning views. The furnishings and fittings are of a very high standard.

A really beautifully presented and maintained barn conversion, it is a credit to the owners.

The cottage was everything and more of what we expected in a super location with lovely views.

Excellent cottage. Décor, furnishings and kitchen are fantastic. We could not fault a thing. A credit to the owners.

Lovely house and area. Nice owners who very friendly and helpful.

Cambriol is stunning, the views from all the windows are magnificent. The inside of the property is worthy of a 5* rating. We hope to return in the near future.Thank you to the owners for a week we will never forget.

The cottage was stunning both inside and out. It was decorated and furnished to an extremely high standard, with every detail catered for. Inside the cottage the utilities are provided and all in perfect working order, with extra touches that make a big difference. The fireplace is electronic but provides a nice ambience, the TV is HD with good channels and all the necessary input sources. The bath is luxurious and the bed is even more so - too many lie ins were had because of how comfortable it was. The immediate location is beautiful, with the owners grounds surrounding the cottage and views from every window (and in the bath - strongly recommended!). While surrounded by country and pleasantly isolated from any disturbances, the town of Carmarthen is only a short journey by car, maximum of 15 minutes, with all the shops and restaurants you could need. An excellent base for a number of nearby locations and there are leaflets, maps, and a recommendation book provided also.

The cottage was immaculate and fitted out to a very high standard with its setting being ideal. The cottage in reality is better than the Sykes pictures if possible. The owners were most welcoming. The cottage provides an ideal location for visiting all locations - Carmarthenshire/ Pembrokeshire etc. Beaches, walks, castles and activity country park were all within easy travelling. Thoroughly recommended.

The high standard of the cottage, beautiful surroundings and a very warm welcome from the owners.

The holiday cottage was lovely, refurbished to a very high specification and was in pristine condition. The cottage had amazing views and surpassed all of our expectations.

Fantastic holiday

Absolutely stunning cottage, furnished beautifully and very modern. The under floor heating is added luxury, we stayed in late January and was lovely and warm. Kitchen has everything you need, and the welsh cakes on arrival went down a treat. Good WiFi, and tv comes with all the dvds you could wish for, from kids to the adults. We lay in most mornings because the bed is so comfy, but the location is close to Carmarthen and other interesting spots so don’t need to be up at the crack of dawn. The hot tub is huge! Lovely lights and you can play your own music through the speakers via blue tooth. You have plastic glasses to enjoy nice drink there too. If it gets too hot you can open the sliding doors to an amazing view of the countryside. The owner is really lovely, available if we ever needed anything. Can’t believe the luxury we got for the price, would definitely return.

Beautiful cottage amazing views

We had a lovely stay at Cambriol. It has been finished to a very high standard and was very comfortable to stay in. The views are outstanding and can also be enjoyed from the bath! Very relaxing

Mrs

Fantastic converted barn - views from all windows are absolutely stunning and seating area outside is fantastic for the warmer weather. The open plan kitchen, diner & lounge works really well, especially allowing us all to spend our holiday time together and keep an eye on the kids. The upstairs master bedroom is fantastic - a wonderful luxury in the converted barn, as well as the beautiful bath that was much loved by all. Thoroughly relaxing break!! You won't be disappointed - will definitely return.

Cambriol holiday ... we loved it.

Super place to stay. Ian and Helen very friendly and helpful. Lovely area to explore and some great eating places nearby. Totally agree with all on previous reviews.

Stunning cottage, beautiful views, great location, friendly owners, the perfect place to take a break

Fireplace is electronic but provides a nice ambience, TV is HD with good channels and all the necessary input sources, and internet was surprisingly fast. While secluded, the location is excellent for a number of days out, with national parks an hour away, stunning beaches half an hour or less. Recommend taking a bike. An excellent base for a number of nearby locations, and there are leaflets, maps, and a recommendation book provided also. The owners are friendly and happy to help, recommend or just chat, and not least supply this wonderful cottage for guests!

Beautiful barn with far reaching views

We thoroughly enjoyed our week staying in Cambriol. It is a beautifully renovated barn which we found very comfortable. Our two young boys loved seeing the sheep and donkeys, and were lucky enough to meet the first lamb of the year on the farm! The open plan living area was great as the boys had plenty of room to play. The owners are extremely welcoming and greeted us with homemade biscuits which went down very well. Cambriol is well located within a short drive to the main town for shopping and not far from the lovely sandy beaches of South Wales and also the Brecon Beacons.
