Enjoy the large garden which has space for badminton on the front lawn, paddling and fishing with nets in the river and a barbecue is available for guests to use. There is also a small games room in the garden with table football and table tennis. The garden area surrounding the cottage is fenced off to stop children wandering too far but care should be taken to supervise children at all times due to the proximity of the river. Explore the local village and stock up on essentials at the village store, stop for breakfast at the café and have a delicious meal at the pub. The award-winning beach at Silecroft is just a short drive, where you can find a lovely inn, pony trekking and a 9-hole golf course. To travel further afield, you can embark on the West Coast railway line at Bootle Station and travel up the coast to Ravenglass, where you can hop on-board the Ravenglass & Eskdale narrow gauge railway, which will take you up the Eskdale Valley to the foot of Scafell.
