Ger Y Mor (pronounced Gar-er-mor) is a fabulous seaside property; located in the charming village of Cemaes Bay on Anglesey. Whether you want to sit on the beach, play a few rounds of golf, walk the fabulous coastal path or just explore Anglesey, this property provides something for everyone; however, if it is peace and quiet that you are after but want to be located within minutes of the heart of this beautiful village, then look no further. The property is owned and presented by the same owners as Smithy Cottage (ref: 935382), 1 Old Smithy (ref: 936123) Gwelfor (ref: 985627) and The Base (ref: 1052171) and as you would expect, the property is fitted out to a very high standard where comfort and luxury is the only 'standard'. The property welcomes up to three well-behaved dogs who will love the private, secure rear garden and additional dogs may be permitted by prior agreement (please call to discuss). Set over two floors, this lovely property enjoys a ground floor bedroom and ground floor WC/shower room. The property is stylish and enjoys many homely features and is sure to welcome you after a day of exploring, it also benefits from practical spaces such as a dedicated utility/drying room (with both washing machine and tumble dryer) and a dedicated boot/hanging room; these rooms are off the spacious kitchen or can be accessed directly from the rear garden. Why not meet in this superbly social home - your kitchen/diner boasts a breakfast bar with seating and further seating is available at the dining table and the kitchen enjoys a host of appliances including a SMEG Range cooker and American-style fridge freezer - there are lots of other small appliances for those who are inspired by home-cooking such as a kitchen aid food processor and kitchen aid food mixer. Unwind into the evening within the sitting room, home to a plush sofa and two armchairs (one of which swivels) - the room has views towards the sea (c.150 meters) where you can watch people enjoying life afloat or just ambling along - This room also has an alluring wood-burner which is perfect for winter months and the house also enjoys conventional central heating. Wander into the conservatory (also called the Sun Room), and you can enjoy this stunning spot; ideal for a good read or just in the host of birds that enjoy the fruit trees that occupy the rear garden. Open the French doors and you will have access the very private and enclosed garden (secure for dogs) which has beautiful countryside views - the garden offers a set of garden furniture with the added luxury of a private hot tub for alfresco dining, followed by a soak under the stars. The property benefits from Sky TV and there is also multiple DVD players for those who want to catch up on their personal film collection. All bedrooms have king-size beds and each room has TV/DVD. All the bedrooms are front-facing which means that you wake up and enjoy the beautiful views towards the sea. There are also three separate bath or shower rooms throughout the cottage. On the ground floor there is a bedroom which has the use of the ground floor WC/shower room, ideal for those with limited mobility and there is a TV in this room. Head upstairs and you will find the master bedroom, finished with a stylish combination of marine/blue/green fabrics and benefitting from an en-suite shower room and a small dressing room. Across the hall is a third bedroom fitted out with calming pastel colours, a spacious room offering plenty of storage space and a TV. Whether you are staring the day or coming home after a long walk, why not soak in the large inset-bath within the family bathroom (upstairs) - this is a relatively large space which also enjoys a walk-in shower and countryside views across the rear of the property. Step outside the property and you are within c.150 meters of the beach - Traeth Bach is a beach area that will take you towards the centre of the village - a real spot of tranquillity with some sandy areas but also offering great rock formations; here you can soak up the sunshine before enjoying a family picnic or a bite to eat or drink at one of the local pubs, the local hotel/restaurant or at the beach café (the café serves a variety of freshly prepared pizza). The village enjoys local pubs (all within minutes of the property and so within walking distance) together with a local shop, chemist, gallery and heritage Centre. Take in the scenic splendour with as you wander along the Afon Wygyr river, passing through the centre of Cemaes and boasting an array of native trees and plants; teeming with wildlife (this is another great place for dogs too because it is completely pedestrianised); or you can join the South West Coast Path and admire the amazing views of the Irish Sea from the rugged clifftops whilst uncovering fascinating landmarks such as Llanlleiana Old Porcelain Works and Carmel Head. With so much on offer, Cemaes Bay is a great place from which to explore all that Anglesey has to offer. Dublin is also accessible via daily ferries from Holyhead. A fantastic place to stay in Anglesey

We stayed at Ger Y Mor during mid July and what a fabulous house to stay in. The house is situated only a stones throw from Cemaes Bay and has plenty of car parking space at the front. Its only a short walk to the village High Street where there's a local shop, butchers, craft shop and fish and chip shop (which was quite good and handy). The house has wonderful views of the bay from the front and idyllic views of fields at the back. The internal decor and presentation of the house was to a very high standard don't do the pictures justice. The rooms are large and well appointed as are the bathrooms. The kitchen and dining open plan area was spacious with all the appliances you could wish for including an American style fridge freezer and dishwasher. The (large) utility room has a washing machine and dryer if you wish to do any laundry. The adjoining conservatory is a wonderful place to be when you're not outside enjoying the patio or garden. The garden is large and has a lovely patio area which catches the sun for most of the day. There is also a hot tub at the back of the house and the back garden is fenced in so is good should you wish to bring any pets. The front room had some wonderful couches to sit and enjoy watching Sky TV but we hardly watched any as there was so much else to enjoy. There was also Wifi access which was accessible in all parts of the house. I had a chance to meet the owners because of a query I had. They returned my call promptly and were extremely friendly, easy going and helpful people to meet and talk to. The house had a wonderful flow to it and it was a peaceful place to be and have a break. I shall look forward to returning to Ger Y Mor in the future.

Beautiful house in a wonderful location

Spent a week here with my family. We were wowed from the moment we opened the front door, such a clean and spacious hallway leading into the huge kitchen/diner. Plush chairs around the dining table with the little added surprise of a local produce hamper, welsh cakes, tea, coffee, milk in the fridge. The hot tub was warm and welcoming along with the plush furnishings throughout the property. Such a pleasure to be able to sit in the conservatory and watch the birds on the feeders in the mornings or admire the sea views in the morning from the swivel chair in the lounge window. The plushness and luxury follows throughout this house, with Egyptian cotton towels, fluffy bath mats in every bathroom (there are 3). Luxury bedding, plenty of hangers in the wardrobes. This house made us feel special and allowed us to have a family holiday that was so overdue after the restrictions of covid. Lee and DJ have put their heart and soul into this property and their flare for colour and style continues throughout. We have booked again and will continue to do so year after year. The situation of the house is perfect, 2 mins from the beach, 5 mins from the local shop and minutes away from some stunning scenery.
