Reviews

Once again, a wonderful week. I love the cottage, location and area. It is truly a beautiful place to come to, I always go home feeling totally relaxed.

The cottage offers peace and quiet. It is a wonderful cottage, set in a wonderful spot. Total relaxation.

It was peaceful and well located for Lake Windermere and many walks. Loved the use of the pool too, just perfect. Will be returning.

Lovely cottage in a wonderful location

We stayed at Hilltop for a fortnight in July / August 2017. The cottage is located in a very secluded, quiet location around 150 metres from the lake. It's a well-equipped and comfortable cottage, well-presented. Hilltop offers a great base from which to explore the Lake District (although beware the narrow lanes that Sat Nav might decide to take you down!) We found quite quickly that we would need more cutlery and crockery than is provided. One quick call to the property manager and we doubled up on both - very prompt and great service. The shower in the ensuite bathroom is very powerful. The bath in the family bathroom is deep. Mattress was a bit soft for my liking. Patio furniture outside is showing its age. Well-deserved four stars. We would have no hesitation in re-booking this lovely cottage.
