General Info

This is a spectacular, upside-down detached farmhouse in the village of Suckley in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a stylish, contemporary conversion of a traditional farm building that was once used in hop and grain production. Full of charm and character, the building is full of original features and with exposed oak beams inside. The beautiful design and finish, high-quality facilities and stunning rural location make the cottage a prime spot for friends and family to come together and enjoy a luxurious holiday. Step into Lower Tundridge Cottage and into its lovely, spacious entrance which leads towards four of the six immaculate bedrooms, two of which have sumptuous en-suite shower rooms with body jets and rainfall shower heads. One of the rooms on this floor is a lavish suite made up of two former oast houses; the circular, high ceilinged sections are now combined and feature a huge round bed and mosaic tiled wet-room with an impressive overhead rainfall shower, body jets and multi-colour LED lighting built-in. There is also a family shower room on the ground floor - with two separate rainfall showers and body jets in one large cubicle - and a cloakroom. A walk up the oak, glass-panelled staircase takes you towards the fabulous open plan living area with exposed feature roof trusses and a high vaulted ceiling. An original hoist wheel, once used to raise grain from the ground floor, remains as a reminder of the building’s heritage. There’s plenty of comfortable seating to relax in, a large slate breakfast bar where everyone can sit together - whether for dinner or just a glass of wine and a chat - and a fantastic woodburning stove all creating a great area to sit and relax with everybody together. The luxury kitchen area is enough to please the most enthusiastic cooks in the family with three ovens (one of which doubles as a microwave), a dishwasher, induction hob and granite worktops. A mezzanine area looks out over the living space through glass balustrades and provides a cosy chilling-out space where you can relax with a book or spend a few moments contemplating. The entrance hall provides another separate space to sit and enjoy the cottage and all it has to offer. The whole building is kept at the perfect temperature by an underfloor heating system. The first floor also boasts two family bedrooms, making it the perfect place for families with young children to come and stay. Each of these can accommodate two adults and up to 2 younger children. One has an en-suite shower room and the other is served by a chic family bathroom right next door - with a free-standing bath with floor standing taps over. Just perfect for relaxing in with a glass of wine or some bubbles…and a steam room/shower cabinet for two. Make the most of the outstanding garden when coming to stay here, there is a lawn area, alfresco dining area and a large hot tub - with lights, waterfalls, a TV, a recliner and even a built in ice-bucket/chiller - to enjoy at your leisure. Suckley is a delightful scattered village with the essential amenities for a holiday base as it also offers scenery and plenty of walks for you to enjoy, sitting on the Worcestershire Way. The charming town of Malvern is a short distance away, it has some lovely buildings as well as a good range of shops and restaurants and is famed for its theatres and walks across the stunning scenery of the Malvern Hills, said to have inspired Edward Elgar. Lower Tundridge Farm is an excellent property in the most scenic of countryside locations. Read More

Fantastic modern cottage

We booked this fantastic cottage for my 60th birthday celebration, it’s in a great location with many nature trails within walking distance and the local post office/shop within a 10 min walk with many locally sourced food and drink. The cottage was great as the 6 bedrooms was just right for the 13 of us (mis of adults and grandkids). The modern finishes and fantastic en suite showers we a big hit and the family bathroom with it’s nice deep bath was great, the upper sitting/dining area was fantastic for my birthday dinner as the main dining area seated 15 comfortably, the private chef that the owner recommended ( canapés by Gill) who only lived 500 yds away is a definitely recommended as a treat , look for Gill on Facebook under her company. The weather was truly on our side and the well maintained Hot Tub was used every day/evening and a big hit, the garden was very safe for the kids as it’s all enclosed, Mo the owner is a true gentleman who left us to have a great holiday but popped by to introduce himself and made a great gesture by giving me a nice bottle of Prosecco. So if your looking for a great place for your next family break please book this fantastic cottage. Once again many thank Mo for the best staycation.

Great accommodation

We stayed here for a family Birthday celebration and the accommodation was large and comfortable for us all. The standard of accommodation was excellent and the space for everyone was brilliant. The hot tub was a huge success. The downsides; the weather was miserable when we arrived and there was a heavy damp smell in all the 4 downstairs bedrooms. The heating was remotely locked at 18 degrees with no way of warming up the house. We had brought our own logs and so we lit the log burner which was great to have a heat source but it leaked smoke rather alarmingly into the living room because the glass panels were loose! There is plenty of parking space for cars but no real garden to sit in and certainly no view which was disappointing for this very remote location. The three frying pans were all totally worn out which was strange as we could see that a previous guest had asked for a new pan a few weeks earlier! Ridiculously difficult to find as no signs anywhere!!! Not even the locals knew where it was!!!

Amazing!

We were a group of 5 couples celebrating a 40th birthday so we wanted something a little bit special. We went during a surprising sunny week in February and had an amazing time! There was a lovely little welcome pack that was much appreciated inc milk etc. The bedrooms were all lovely and we all slept extremely well. The bathrooms were very modern with some impressive showers! The main living area/kitchen is an amazing space .... perfect for socialising We even hired a private chef for one night to wine and dine us - an extra treat! The hot tub was just amazing - we loved it! The whole of the outdoors looks lovely at night with all the garden lights and ever-changing colours of the hot tub lights. The scenery is just beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the area. If you are looking for a pub with some good quality food - I can highly recommend The a Fox & Hounds at Lulsley. We went for food on the Friday and Sunday - gorgeous! It’s only 2.5 mile miles away - a pleasant walk on a dry sunny day Please remember that Lower Tundridge Cottage is self catering so you will need to take the essentials like loo roll etc. The WiFi is excellent which was a relief as there was no phone signal. When I did have a problem (damaged frying pans) it was immediately rectified by Mo the owner and they were replaced within a few hours. I would definitely recommend Lower Tundridge Cottage - it was a holiday we won’t ever forget!

Even better than the photos, just amazing

A beautiful cottage with everything! We booked for a special family birthday and were wow-ed from the moment we arrived. The kitchen was fabulously equipped and a huge breakfast bar meant that we could all sit together, eat and chat. With an open plan lounge adjoining, the kids were happy watching TV whilst grownups could still keep an eye on them. The beds were lovely and comfy and the showers amazing; the hot tub was great too! Everybody loved the huge round shower/bathroom with disco lights built into the walls. Thoughtful and generous host too... we're definitely coming again as soon as we can find an excuse.

Easter fun

As an extended family of 9, we loved this property, finished to a high standard all the rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable, possibly the comfiest bed I have slept in. The showers and bathrooms were a luxurious treat and the outdoor hot tub was enjoyed by all. We took great advantage of the high spec kitchen and enjoyed the lovely chocolate/ bread and snacks left by our host Mo, a generous touch, all enjoyed in front of the log burner. The surrounding area offered several great days out . Thoroughly recommend staying here and would visit again . 5 stars .
