Llandrindod Wells is about 13 minutes away by car and is home to a handful of quaint shops, a large supermarket, and pubs and cafés such as Aspidistra Restaurant and Lakeside Cafe, where at the Lakeside Boathouse you can hire kayaks and paddle boards. The National Cycle Museum is ideal for cycling enthusiasts or history buffs to learn about the journey of the bicycle, from 19th century Hobby Horses to the models you will see on the race tracks today. Rhayader is around 20 minutes away by car where you can visit the Red Kite feeding station, Valley View Falconry or head out to the spectacular dams of the Elan Valley for some walking, cross country and downhill mountain biking or pony trekking.
